I have had mine for 10 years,it is used every day,Dyson had to change the drum after 4 years, and I also had a new seal on the door, this was covered by the 5 year warranty.I love it,and the fact you can put so much in it,I dread the day it dies.
I'd recommend getting rid of the goofy candy colored accents on everything. It looks too much like Apple's early imacs. Stick with transparency, mirrored surfaces and black. Unnecessary coloring detracts from the novelty of the technology and makes it seem like its trying to appeal to a low-attention-span consumer, which is not the type who is buying Dyson stuff.
@zunehdrocks The company needed more space. "We wanted to expand where those trees are," he says, gesturing beyond his office window. "The council refused us planning permission and we had to go somewhere. We had our suppliers 16,000km away and it was very difficult to operate like that." -Dyson in Wired Magazine Oct. 22, 2011

@voon100 Dyson stopped making them because they were too expensive and they can't make a profit
