  • It's nice to drive through campus without worrying about traffic or pedestrians! Thanks for uploading.

  • oh wow.. very cool.. i love it..

  • Great presentation.

  • Going up there today from St. Louis for a crazy Halloween party. I'm excited to say the least, lol.

  • Christ Jesus how I miss this place. I didn't realize how good I had it when I was there.

    Cherish your time living there!!!

  • How fun!

  • ILY

  • oMG..im going there in August...im so excited! College Life here I come!

  • Ive lived here my whole life and am a big fan of the campus. Its always very lively and up beat and has that classic college feel. It is beautiful too. I love how youll drive by a really ornate and rustic old building that reminds of you of the tradition and then a few blocks down youll drive by a modern building with contemporary style that leaves you awe struck. The stadium is essentially modern and traditional combined too. lol

  • very light traffic.. is it always like that? no traffic jam , no waiting for hours to make 2 miles with the car ? wow... i love illionis :D

  • @Grylloidea It's a crazy place lol

  • @backagain20101: Bill Ayers is not at UIUC. He *was* at UIC---University of Illinois at Chicago---but has since retired and been denied emeritus status.

  • I miss U of I...just not the stoplights on Wright/Green and Sixth/Green.

  • Who's music?

  • well the faculty is putting a black mark on your school

they are backing Bill Ayers at your school

he is nothing but trash allway has been and allway will be

don't belive me ??? find out for yourself his police rec. is on file

  • i want to go here so bad.. does this college a good degree for paramedic?

  • @Grylloidea You moved here? Not to burst your bubble or anything but I've lived here for 34 years in Illinois specifically. Although all of Illinois is not like Chicago and burbs; I lived in the burbs of Chicago and to me Sodom and Gomorrah is respectable compared to Chicago and Springfield. Look up the county in Chicago; COOK COUNTY; I call it Hell Hole. I guess maybe no matter where you live you have positives and negatives, but Illinois would be the last place I would move to; Good Luck.

  • my dad and i are moving here. any good high schools. im going to the 9th

  • nice town...

  • can't wait to be tearin up these streets with my g coupe

  • i live here :D

  • waste of gas, but a good waste! I call this place home now and its been a ride!!

  • im 14 and all you college chicks in champaign are HOTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!1

  • i have peed on so many parts of this campus. this video brought a tear to my eye.

  • @ragingmonkey909 I tried to live like people like you peeing and various things as such in the State of Illinois. I feel it's a big CLUB and I'm not in it. Although various things like you do is more "acceptable" in other countries as I've looked up. This ILLINOIS STATE OF is very CLUBISH. Very much a click like high-school was; and I wasn't accepted there either which has caused me great sorrow and to take a disliking to Illinois and America for various reasons. I suppose Life is Unfair!

  • transfering to UIUC soon! woot woot :D

  • hey which is better uiuc or niu? and why

  • 1:31 Moo 56. xD

  • Thanks for posting this, I'm gonna have to watch it when I miss the place.

    Good Ol' Urpaign!

  • @weker1 You're welcome.

  • @weker1 its Chambana, not Urpaign!

  • @HBAmsbary Depends On where you are in town! lol

  • @weker1 I always called it Chambana never thought of Urpaign and I actually live here now

  • every1 go to chicago!

  • I have lived in Champaign my whole life, i'm 19 now and it's not as fun as people make it seem...

  • Very enjoyable video and i wished more people would do the same thing with different towns around America. Do you plan on doing any around the outskirts of Camurbana or maybe danville? I'm planning on relocating. I'm in Los Angeles and its an overcrowded cesspool here and too expensive.

  • I live in LA too and couldn't agree with you more. It's a bit too much of all for me here so that's why I'm moving to Champaign. :)

  • @LosAngeleno1959 If you think LA is a cesspool you won't like Danville either...C-U is ok tho.

  • @trunk516 I live in Illinois and although your remark was 4 months ago; much of America is a cesspool but Chicago specifically; the county is COOK COUNTY. Burning in Hell over there; I'm glad I got the fuck out there. I should have left 16 years ago.

  • the trees are a lot bigger,

otherwise, it doesn't look alot different than when i was there in 1966

  • OHH now i watched the vid info i know the name of this music =D

  • Hi man, whats the name of the tune? of you like it i recommend you to hear THE NOPAL BEAT COLLECTIVE ;) YOUTUBE IT!!

  • I lived in Champaign , Illinois for 9 years 3 of which was with my older sister .She studied at UofI and I studied at Parkland college.

  • i LOVE IHOP lol

  • omg i remember when they had all that construction on green street, i hated it lol

  • It seems more of a party college than UIC (where I went)

  • every college has parties...

  • I agree with that.

  • i went to champaign for summer orientation and i love it there. it seems like a very safe and enjoyable place

  • i live here and the only problem is that the cops will get you for anything they can. they might even run a fuckin k-9 unit around your car so be careful

  • its a nice neighborhood

  • I'll never forget this town and the university

  • You're welcome.

  • I graduated from UIUC in 1995. Everything looks exactly the same. Great Post, great memories, those were good times...Thank you :-)

  • You're welcome. My video doesn't really show it, but a lot has changed since 1995.

Check out pics of Chambana at gct13 (dot) com

  • Amazing!

  • well, our football team sukcs big time, they have went several whole seasons without winning a game, its the basketball thats good

  • Do they interview students as part of their application process there?

  • Aren't there any good topless clubs in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois? I want to attend college in a town with fine performing arts and culture.

  • Building codes require a roof on all clubs with live entertainment.

  • lol

  • being an alumni of U of I, this was fun to experience - now that I live in FL! Thanks for posting it. I felt like I was back there again!

  • what did you major in at UIUC and did you like the school?

  • Computer Science. The school's alright. What about you?

  • dude im planning to do computer engineering at UI. tell me what i should expect when i go there?

  • man im italian and im planning to do atmospheric sciences at ui..do u recommend me this school?do you get bored on living to urbana?do u think that a school from chicagoland is better?i dont know shit i live so far away the choice is damn hard to make

  • You will never be bored at this school... especially if you like yo have fun

  • I'm a soon-to-be Junior in High School...but i plan to major in Business. 42 people from my high school went to UIUC this year...it's pretty popular around here!

  • are you from Champaign or Chicagoland

  • Chicago. I graduated from UIUC a long time ago.

  • Just love this tune.. what is it ? Thanks

  • Joi - "Cravin"

  • I must say. I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for posting this.

  • My pleasure.

  • University of Illinois...pumping out alcoholics since 1876...

  • Miss Champaign.. 6 Feet Under on Green was great. Still there?

  • my sisters dorm is close to 9.30

  • My grandpas store at Wright and Green.....U of I Campus Store

  • My grandpas store was at Wright and Green...U of I Campus Store

  • Great video, great memories. I almost shed a tear as you drove down Green St. just thinking of the old Deluxe Billiards.

  • When I first saw this I thought it was going to be boring.....I was wrong. Great idea and brought back memories. It's been a while since I was there early 80's but our place to go after the bars was Taco Johns on Green (been gone a while now). They made their own fries with the Potato Ole seasoning. Either that or Pizza by the slice. Thanks for the trip back......and great music.

  • man i am loving the music your using for this. i always wanted to see what champaign looks like. but is it a good place to live?

  • It is a nice little town. If you get bored, you can always drive to Chicago, which is only 2 hours away.

  • you would be going to Chicago every weekend then, after I left I would go back and party with friends still there but that got old, have not been back in a few years

  • ossito, maybe your problem was that you didn't make any friends, then. I get bored here occasionally, I'll admit, but you can't really act like there's nothing to do. It's a college town, there's ALWAYS something to do.

  • didnt make friends, rofl, entire southside of 12th floor in FAR, few people from 9th floor, bunch of people from the 6-pack & ISR, men & women, still going strong our bonds are still tight, we get together often, 29 e. john st, 5th & white, 4th & Healey, Gammas, Omega Delta, alpha psi, cant go to any club or bar in city w/o running into someone, "no friends", still rofl, hell i probably know you through one of my "friends"

  • I've lived here my whole life... don't come here, it sucks

  • You say that now, but just wait. I lived there my whole life and then moved. I appreciate Champaign more than ever now. There's not even a fucking Starbucks here.

  • Within the last year they've built a starbucks here in Urbana... it's kinda cool... they have a drive-thru and everything.

  • 6th and Green for me.....I used to work at the White Hen Pantry on the corner in 1993. Get a good burger at Murphy's across the street or go up 6th to R and R's Sports Grill (RIP) and get a pound of fries and 6 small cheesburgers for $6.99.

  • La Bamba's burrito 'as big as your head' lol

  • the memories, 29 E. John, 5th and White, 4th and healey, the track is dope

  • For me, it's 6th & Clark, Green & Busey, Hendrick House, and 621 E. Green (Record Service R.I.P.)

  • heavy channel bruv.

  • thanx mate
