@doceigen - This aircraft is only intended to be used to test other technologies being developed – there are no plans of manufacturing more than the single plane shown in the video. A piloted version of this plane would have been cost prohibitive.

Were the panels on the aircraft blurred/edited or painted over on purpose? And I can't tell its method of lift and drag. Is it the same kind of flight controls as the B-2?

@JoyFulDoom - Check out the Phantom Ray photo URL in the description and you will see that the edges of the craft are painted differently than the rest of the plane. The paint along the edges has special anti-reflective and radar absorbing qualities. The flight controls on the B-2 are completely unique to itself alone.

@triplepogi2009 Well, I don't know much about the Phantom Ray, but the F-22 was definitely the second best choice. The only reason it was adopted was because it had POLITICAL BACKUP. Just like the M16 assault rifle. But the YF-23 was better in several crucial areas, like range, speed, stealth thrust/weight ratio and the potential to carry more weapons internally, as its wide underside would've allowed for more weapons to be stored internally. So the F-22 was definitely the wrong choice.

@triplepogi2009 Saying the truth is not bashing. The F-22 is a good fighter, but it was still the second best. I'm talking about performances here and not about looks. The only thing the F-22 has over the YF-23 is its low speed supermaneuverability because it has TVC. But other than that, it is inferior in range, speed, stealth, thrust/weight ratio and even weapons payload.
