Best off road tool ever. I've had to winch with it a few times where a recovery strap just wasn't enough or wasn't available.
and, yes, Hi-Lifts can be VERY dangerous.
Probably the most nervous it made me was when it took two guys to put enough force on the handle to winch out a truck.
2nd place was when I picked up the back end of an LP forklift that had gotten hung up.
