I think that what Rodger set out to do with his videos and the intentions of wanting to make others happy or inspired through watching them has certainly been achieved. Many thanks to his family for keeping his channel up and running, I urge any of you who have just discovered Rodger's videos to look up a few more or visit his channel. Hopefully you will feel inspired and happier for having discovered them.
1month ago I had the same experience of leaving a city of my foreign studies. It was so sad...we cried a lot...so I think, I can understand your feelings...good luck
Aw that was very sweet about all your friends, saying goodbye etc. I've enjoyed your video's and they've been fun to watch and see what it's like being a college student in Japan. One of my fav video's is still when you're in a town going by adult stores. LOL I just like your expressions and stuff hehe. Loved your Santa hat. Loved the tracks you played too. Your friend did great and is very talented! I love that track too. Very sad at the end. :( Love the end! :D
Thanks so much for all the time you took to put these vids on here, Rodger. I've been a regular Tokyo Swan viewer for well over a year now, and I've really enjoyed watching them. Oh, and my friend says to say that your shenmue episode was his favorite! Thanks, man!
Good stuff. I've been watching for a while. Thanks for the vids. I just got back to Japan myself. Hope you can make it back to the Yokosuka area sometime.
God, its just so great!! Thank you for sharing your memories with us. You have also reminded me many things from my moments in Japan! Were the "mos burger boy" clips taken near Tamachi station? I have the best memories in Tamachi!!
Keterol rocks. I know everyone wants to see more Japan, but it can never be the same, just keep up with those people and I say... On to a new country!
earlier in the year i toyed around with the idea of a podcast, but my plate is full with video making at the moment haha. i've got to start work on the new series soon...
dude...Going Jedi??? Dude that shit is too profound. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH...brain exploides. True that brother, about living in japan. Ok, putting a smile on my face might take more than that, and it is bwyond your abilities to make me smile, so yah. Your totally anime geeking out. Nice music. Why didn't you go to Ice cream City with TokyoCooney?
Thank you for posting another "Unseen Swan." I like your videos. Hopefully you can go to Japan very soon (through JET or any other programs) then post many new videos again. ビデオ、どうもありがとう。 :)
I can definitely see a difference in your personality when I compare your first episode with these latest ones. Although I caught the series midthrough, I really enjoyed them all. Good luck with the JET Programme and here's hoping to see more future videos!
Oh yah, and I should be taking a trip to Japan within a year, so if you happen to be there, we should have a couple drinks.
i'll miss watching your edventures in japan=( I hope you go back!!! who knows maybe next time your in japan i'll be there too and wee could hang out =) well I hope so!!! have a good one dude xD
swan your vids gave me the time to see japan and its wonders plus akiba!!!!! anyways nice vid again I loved the ending XD lol you lucky dog!! anyways keep up the good work!!
Can i ask something i've been wondering throughout the series. Who are Keterol? Yeah they do the soundtrack, but are they friends of yours? Oh and where can i get there music cuz they have some awesome tunes!
keterol is a friend of mine, yeah i've known him for many years now. if you ever want any of the mp3s, feel free to send me a private message and i'll get them for you.
Thanks for the videos. I've really enjoyed 'em. Sad to see 'em end. The whole bunch of you gaijin youtuberes have been remarkably inspiring. I'll get over there one'a these days.
oh srry i made no cents on my other comment here is what i was trying to say.Oh that was sad i felt that i eyes were water e i saw you when you first started and now you done. To me it vary sad and i do hope that you do make it to japan with the JET Programme hope you make.
I have to sya the last bit was pretty emotional and very refreshing. I don't how to explain it, but it's like am feeling quite emotional as well too. Also, Swan's definitely quite the ladies man too lol. HOPE EVERYTHING GOES WELL FOR YOU and live your life to the fullest.
Ah nice ending there mate. I've been watching your series for a while and just wanted to say it was entertaining to watch. Hope the JET program works out.
Very well put together! The series was wrapped up so nicely with a little bit of sentimental spice and simple happy ending! Thank you. So what is coming next?
Ohh. That last minute 15 or so was tragic. This video series pretty much convinced me to study abroad in Japan. Great video series and I wish the the best in the future.
wow this was a perfect ending i like how you ended it with a very sad clip and then shifted to a very happy clip which shows that theres hope and that the good times always overshadow the bad. and seriously your voice was on steroids because it changed so much from the first eisode to the last.
thanks, yeah i guess it does end on quite the positive note! yeah, my voice has changed so much over the past year... but I still can't get over how different I look as well. (thankfully i think it's all for the better haha).
Your series has been wonderful. Don't ever doubt that it didn't have a purpose. I truly enjoyed everyone of those episodes dearly. Everytime i question myself if i can truly learn Japanese and move to Japan, your videos always make that doubt go away. You have truly inspired me to keep going, and I thank you for that.
More often than not I find myself wanting to rate you videos more than the normal five stars. I really appreciate all of the videos you made and are going to make. Final Rating for the Tokyo Swan Series- 10 out of 5 stars!
Sadly, this is the last "Unseen Swan", but I guarantee it won't be the last "Tokyo Swan". If you're like me, you long for the place. I've never been anywhere else that "calls" to me like Japan. Thanks for all the great videos you've posted, it is like getting to be there for a few minutes every time you posted one. Thanks for all the great footage and the J-horror reviews. To-te-mo tano-she kata-desu.
Hey Swan, when are you going back to Japan? I am going for Christmas/New Year's in a few weeks. 21 days in Japan!!! Do you get homesick for Tokyo like I do? I love going every year, but leaving always rips my heart out. It's well woth the heartache though.
As sad is it is for me to see this wonderful series come to an end, i must say that you have inspired me to stop simply dreaming of Japan and start making genuine plans to return. I had almost forgotten how amazing the neon city was before i started vicariously following your travels. It is now my life's ambition to return once more to japan! Thank you so much for allowing me to tag along so to speak. It was fun!
RIP you looked like a really nice guy
