Its toxic! Even if there are no tar balls present, the water is most likely toxic from oil byproducts and toxic dispersants. Please do not allow children to play in the water, whether "officials" say it is safe or not. "Cleaned up oil" is being dumped in landfills. BP is dumping sand on oily beaches. Coast guard is spraying highly toxic poison all over the place.
