  • We all love our beloved Prophet (SAW). Prophet (SAW) never did this not even the four rightly guided Khulafa (May Allah be pleased with them all), the Pious predecessors never practiced the so called Mawlid. Mawlid was actually introduced 400 years after the death of the Prophet (SAW). It is neither from the Quran nor from the Sunnah.

    Brothers I would kindly urge you to learn about this religion instead of just arguing for the sake of it. Wallahu alam

  • @znzutube Have u heard tala al badnu alayna that was sang by the children and men in happiness when the prophet came to medina. So this is why we gather mawlids and sing in happiness and praise the one who is praiseworthy, and get close to allah by priasing the prophet saw.

  • Brother, please, read about what those who do not celebrate say about "Mawlid". They have sound proof and explanation. Just read it please. They say Mawlid is not from Sunnah. Those who celebrate it are ahlul-bid'ah (people of innovation) not ahlus-sunnah.

  • Definition of bid'a is -- every new type of worship is bid'a. Everything which people think might bring them rewards (hasanat) from Allah, but not mentioned in the Quraan and Sunnah -- is bid'ah.

    Printing Quraan is not a type of worship, however, teaching Quraan and distributing Quraan is worship. Dawah is worship. it's fard.

    But, Mawlid has become a new type of worship. By doing it, people expect reward from Allah. This is bid'ah action with no basis in Quraan and Sunnah.

  • "Majority and minority" does not play a role here. Please, brother, do not follow your pre-determined ideas. Please, look at the life of the Sahaba of Rasululllah s.a.w. None of them celebrated mawlid. Let's learn the example from the best followers of the Prophet -- the Sahaba.

    Even in a historical and ethnographic view celebrating birthdays was not part of the Arabic tradition at that time. So, it is obvious that early Muslims never celebrated such a thing called Mawlid.

  • Assalam alaykum, Brother it will be good if you write about issues of which you are knowledgeable of, saying Ibn Taymiyyah was Wahabi is really wrong and impossible, cause those who branded their fellow Muslims Wahabi, they mean to say the followers of Sh. Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab. Now Ibn Taymiyyah (Rahimahullah) lived so many years before Sh. Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab (Rahimahullah).

    The point here is Sh. Abdul Wahhab can be the follower of Ibn Taymiyyah and not the other way round.
