THis is soo cool i meant to sub like forever ago but i lost ya! but here you are anywho, I am working on my photowall but dont know what is the best dimensions to use for the photos Got any tips?? ANyone?
All the best with university! It's a fun time on the whole, trust me :) [I graduated from university two years ago.] And I feel you regarding LDRs. I'm in one myself, and it sucks when I can't touch him or hug him. But it's worth it. So hang in there! :)
I love ure t-shirt, like the hair and im thinking of u and fawn. I'm getting close to someone in ireland and I'm already beginning to see how crushing it is to not be with him x
hope you have a good start at Uni Jerry. 2 hrs is a long ride but at least you can do some work on the train, thats at least how I use my time on there. Take care mate :)
I do indeed. I had it tattooed there because ever since school, I'd been drawing it on occasionally with a pen, my friend Jack at uni saw it and offered to make it permanent. I love it :)
Thought you were studying since ages ago! good so you're slightly closer to me (still about 4 hours away). Not that this will comfort you about your missed loved ones.
Anyway, you should come skate in Brighton/London !
haha, I WAS studying before, doing an HND, then I left that course, took a year out and now I'm going back to do my BA, which is why my funding is so up in the air, haha.
London is a bit easier for me to get to than Brighton, I expect I'll be up in the big smoke more often since I'll be slightly closer :)
i so know how you feel with the whole funding/travelling thing im so stressed about money just now
and long distance must suck when you don't know when you'll be able to see eachother, i find it hard enough living at the other end of the city from my bf lol
I know, it's hard without knowing when we'll be together next, but it's up to us to make our own schedules I guess; Fawn hasn't got her timetable yet, but I have fridays off most weeks, which makes it easier and I still have holiday hours left at work :)
1) Move into halls. All the fun goes on in halls and you're gonna feel left out if you're not in halls by Christmas.
2) I feel for you beginning a long distance relationship. I did it while I was at Uni (I was in Devin, she was in Manchester). At the end of our degrees we got married. That was 7 years ago. So it's tough, but worth it. Good luck.
1) I really wish I could be in halls, but this is my 2nd degree, so I don't get enough funding to afford halls, plus I support my mum with the rent on our house here, it's complicated - I know I'll feel left out, but I'll be in halls or a house share next year, plus I have friends in Plymouth I can crash with.
2) aww, I love success stories, they fill me with hope, thanks for sharing :) Where in Devon did you study? (I'm from Exeter originally)
Good luck on the long distance! David (dwood2001) and I are about 3600 miles away, although I just filed for a fiance visa for him and we both work full-time. I remember what it was like being in school though with no monies, so I wish you two the best! Do you only have 2 years since you already had some of the course work done?
Hey Justine!! Congrats again to you and David <3 Finacé visas are such a pain, any visas for that matter.
Thanks for the wishes, I'm sure we'll be fine, I've never been much surer about anything, hehe. I wish, I probably should have negotiated before I applied, since I DO already have a whole years worth of credits, about 120, but oh well.
Me and my girlfriend live about 10 miles away and we never really see each other because we are usually busy at the same times, but 200 miles away seems impossible, yet you seem to accomplish it! Good for you two! I am proud of you trying to make it work! :D
That's a gross case of over-simplification. I've got a pair of good friends who have maintained a relationship between Australia and the UK and I know of a great many couples that started out long distance and are now happily married.
Fawn and I have been dating for a while now, long distance all the time and are even stronger than when we started out.
aww jerry i'm starting uni soon too. and i'll be living at home as well... its not too bad for me though 40 minutes. but i still wish i was in halls. :) good luck you'll be fine x
Yeah, I've done an eight hour commute with an ex- like five years back and it wasn't at all fun, 4 hours is slightly better I guess, still can't see her as often as I'd like though, unfortunately.
I wouldn't say its a bad hair cut, its just terribly practical. I'd suggest dying it a bright colour to break up the boring. Or something less extreme, but I'm short on actual ideas at the mo.
I'm entering my final year. Soon I have to look for jobs and be a grown up ;(
why didnt you just live at halls at dump her

do you have a star tatoo on your wrist?
and why?

I do indeed. I had it tattooed there because ever since school, I'd been drawing it on occasionally with a pen, my friend Jack at uni saw it and offered to make it permanent. I love it :)

i dont often like tattoos but yours is really sweet and simple!
people give odd reasons for tattoos sometimes but thats a darned brilliant reason!

What about via Salisbury on the Waterloo train from Exeter... Perhaps not as quick but it'll be cheaper (megatrain)...
andrewjburgess 2 years ago
It's not very expensive with my 16-25, only about £33. The shortest route is Plym > Dorchester > Bournemouth, as far as I can tell :)

I suppose second degree is different because you experienced life in halls first time around.
I studied in Dartinton College of Arts so I lived in Totnes for 3 years. It was awesome.

Yeah, been there, done that - not quite as into going out every single night like most freshers anyway, haha :)
