  • funny thing is that i was in spain during the tournament and i came into my hotel room and thought federer would play later. i switched on the TV right at break point against him and i was like "WTF did i just miss?!" thank god he hit that forehand!

  • Everyone`s cheering for federer, beacuse if they don`t he will cry his pants again!

  • @petronije1001 Stfu moron.

  • I really wonder what would have happened with the tournament if federer lost the point at 3-4 30-40.. there wouldn't have been any slam winners left in the draw.

  • i hope federer wins at australian open next week

  • go roger!!

  • 0:14 ... epic!!!

  • I wish Haas had beaten Monaco at this year's US Open. Would have loved to see Federer vs Haas again.

  • What clay season.

    Monte Carlo final Nadal- Djokovic,

    Barcelona final Nadal - Ferer,

    Rome final Nadal- Djokovic,

    Madrid 1/2 final Nadal-Djokovic over 4hrs match.

On RG Djokovic out from Kolshraiber in 3rd round,

Injured Nadal out from Soderling in 4th round (Nadal win against Soderling in Rome just two weaks earlier 6:1 6:0.

    Lucky Roger take the title.

  • @hordak83

  • nice description JaffaRafa. That shot at 3-4 break point down was the most important point in Fed's legacy. This match was the day after Nadal had finally lost at the French, so all the pressure was on Fed to win the title. If he had lost the point, Haas gets to serve for the match. This match and the one against Del Potro in the semis made me so nervous for Fed but he managed to persevere and complete the career grand slam.

  • this is one of the greatest matches of all time.

  • Lol at Mirka with her fat tits out and bouncing around 1:26

  • @ArjunJethwa go finger ur own ass

  • @addy72222 Like you? Na I'm alright

  • @ArjunJethwa M8, you come to a tennis video to watch the game, not to friggin watch a chick's tits...

  • @addy72222 I dunno. I think watching a chick's tits is legitimate in pretty much all situations.

  • they both have beautiful backhands...

  • 2:29 OMG!!!!!

  • please help me. Does anybody know where I can watch the full match?

  • con la eliminacion de nadal, dije roger es ahora o nunca.. soy fanatico de federer, pero en este partido crei que se volvia en cuartos, pero roger demostro porque es el mas grande de todos los tiempos..

  • That shot at 0,14 shows why roger federer is the best, and why he won this match and went on to win the crown!

  • in this match i didn´t know who of these two i should support more. I mean, i´,m german and a very big fan of tommy, but federer is my idol. So i decided to be neutral. ( hell, i was shaking at federer down 3:4; 30,40 ;) ) After the 3 set i thougt, fed men, if you win this match and lose in the final of paris again, i will have to visit you and give you a kick for beeting tommy. But he did ^^ lucky federer :D

  • 0:14 is the shot that won roger the match

  • @JaffaRafa

that´s my opinion, too. In this moment I knew that Federer would win the match, I can´t really explain why.

  • Mirka had such big boobs.

  • what a point from haas at 5:55! awesome!

  • such a great video.

  • Grat vid, but the forehand didn't turned roger's career, maybe tha match, but defenetly not his career ;)

  • @TheGengus It actually did. Had he not hit that FH, he wouln't have won the FO, and it would be hard for him to get another chance with Rafa's clay dominance. If Federer hadn't won this match, it would have been the downfall of his career because he wanted to win the French so badly.

  • @3timeMVPNash

Absolutely correct...Fed achieved the career slam and the confidence to finally beat sampras record

  • @3timeMVPNash

Absolutely correct...Fed achieved the career slam and the confidence to finally beat sampras record.

The stars aligned for Fed in this tournament with Nadal out, Fed still in peak form and playing a fantastic match against haas and Soderling to finally get that ever so difficult french.

    Greatest player ever

  • 1:28 rogers wife has some boobs :)

  • @cobster123 exaggerated boobs of a preggy woman filled with milk.

  • it was surely a huge point but it was not the most important because this is only the later part of his career

  • just phenomenal!! great roger! 2:29-2:32

  • 0.15 shouldnt be on the line, i wish Haas would have won, would be his biggest win! so sad

  • Soo sad that Tommy was always injured....he could have won a few Slams I'm sure!!

  • WHAT A WAY TO BREAK!!!!

  • he shows all his heart ¡¡¡ ANIMAL ¡ gorgeous

  • this is inspiring to watch

  • 0:13 match point Haas

  • This is the most incredible come-back match I've ever watched.

  • @adrenilenepotato get used to it hater!

  • @StewNWT that is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard. luck had NOTHING to do with this. he won because of his determination and pure skill

  • Wow, AMAZING how fed has made to semi finals (every final minus AO 08) for a 5 year streak! incredible!

  • only federer can do!!!!!

  • great vid. love Roger and Tommy. class Roger

  • Comment removed

  • Wow Fed got lucky as shit in this match.

  • @StewNWT I don't know where you see luck for federer in this match.

being close to losing doesn't mean you're lucky if you win.

And in fact in quality of play Federer was quite superior to Haas if we look at the whole match.

  • haas barely made any good shots the last three sets...what a comeback from federer

  • First 2 sets = Federer's warm up - Haas' lucky break.

    4th set = Federer's punishment - Haas losing composure

    5th set = Federer's stroll

  • Federer is king

  • Great vid man, really.

    Thx for posting!

  • Awesome match!!!

  • 0:17 certainly the most important point of this match.

  • What an un-fucking-blievable slicing return ace in 2:28!!!!!!!

    That was rediculous!!

  • i was happy for haas too for this match, it re-elevated his game and now hes back in like top 30 top 20 and probly climbing. hes got an injury now which sucks but hopefully that wont let him down again. hes one talented player, hes up there in the league of federer when hes in the zone, especially in his prime old days when he was once world no.2

  • even if fed became 3-5 down haas serving for the great victory, i think fed woulda broke back and got him anyways. but still that 3-4 30-40 down was a scary moment.

  • Surely that point n may b more than that Nadal's loss to Soderling the day before this match...........

  • fuckin' haas

  • if federer had missed that forehand, he would probably have lost with the same score he defeated haas in the semis in wimbledon 1 month after... 7-6 7-5 6-3

  • Fantastic match!

  • of course the most important point in 2009! if he hadn´t won it, he had lost his match against haas to 99%. but so he won roland garros and his 14. grand slam title! and thats why federer said after the tournament: now i can play free!

  • this IS the most perfect tennis player in the world.

  • Haas looks sexy and cute at 1:47. And that's what we call technic. If Nadal can play like this at age 31, I will be very impressed. Two SH BHs flying around the court is beautiful to watch.

  • poor haas.....he really almost had it.

  • he means no.1 in Switzerland maybe?

  • Turning point in his career? Don't think so

  • Totally a turning point. That forehand won him the tournament. Had he missed it he would have been 2 sets and a break down.

  • Yes, definately a turning point. If you ask him, 'hey Roger, what was your most important point of the year?'

'The inside out forehand vs Haas of course.'

  • the turning point of his career u mean :)

  • when federer missed that FH at 30-30 4-3 3rd set. i shat my pants. i was scared.

  • 5:03 He says "Outstanding, from the Swiss Number One" But Next to Federer's name it had a (2)....

  • Although at the time he was the world number 2, he was still the Swiss number 1, much like Murry is the British number 1 but the world number 4.

  • @h00dman

No, at the time he was world number 2 he still was world number 1!

  • @willobillo0714 i think its because he meant hes the number one Swiss player even if hes two in the world

  • Yeah, Federer's the Swiss Number One. He didn't say the World Number One.

  • "Swiss" number 1

if i'm not completely mistaken, the last time i checked Nadal was still Spanish

  • hehe .. Theres a great difference between have more points than anybody else and be number 1 ;) hehe

  • @willobillo0714 - its because hes the number one swiss player maybe?

  • I remember getting home somewhere around the end of the third set. I had been wondering all day how he would handle the pressure, and when I turned the TV on he was on the verge of losing probably his last chance of winning the only title that had eluded him.

I'm soooo glad I only got to watch the second part of the match :) Otherwise I would probably be so nervous I would be crapping my pants, like I was in the fifth set of Wimbledon 2009 final ;)

  • you are talking crap and saying the truth at the same time... Here's an objectiv point of view: Federer won all his Grand slam titles BUT this one thanks to his talent, his skill, his genius... He was just untouchable. But in this Grand slam, FO 2009, He won it fair and square mentally ... He won all his match mentaly because he had so much pressure...He didn't produce so many great shots except dropshots in those 3 difficult matchs: Haas DP and Acasuso, but he wanted it more.Roger rules

  • @jonatev00 agree with most of what you said, but.. I think mental strength played a part in many many more matches in the grand slam titles Roger has won.

  • Stfu u idiots. Fed won this match fair and square. Both players played very well. If Nadal came back from two sets to love down and won, you would definitely say, '' OMG, the lord of clay, the god, greatest ever comeback.. etc''. Please, give credit when it is due.

  • Supercrap? We must have been watching different matches. The last 2.5 sets were excellent on the part of Federer. And defeating a redhot Soderling in 3 sets for the title doesn't seem subpar. And the must-win-final meant Federer was feeling much more pressure than nothing-to-lose Soderling.

  • Man Federer played like super crap in the FO'09. Of course he deserved it for the times he got beaten up by Nadal. But IMO players like Haas, Del Potro, Acasuso lost their matches mentally rather than Federer won them. Even a sub par Nadal who lost to Soderling would have had a chance against the Swiss maestro. . What an irony, Federer won the French playing his worst clay tennis. I mean apart from the matches against Martin, Monfils and Soderling in the final, every player had a shot at him.

  • Last year he was phenomenal most of the FO and didn't show up for the final and got wiped out. And he didn't play crap, his level of play was still the best of the tournament, and what matters is that he convincingly won the final playing great tennis, and he gutted it out when he needed to. he isn't the only player to have tournaments like that. And he didn't play his worst tennis, all his opponents took their biggest swings at him.

  • federerwas lucky in this match, if haas haven't lost the mentality, haas would have won.

  • didn't you know? federer lucked his way to his 15 slams.

reality check people. if federer had the nadal mentality he would've lost in straight sets.

  • are u kidding me look 15master4slam

look at 0:09 this is the point which turned the match around

  • @eboood90 yeah.. up to this point tommy were very selfcofindent in his play after the first 2 sets, he was dominating his service games, but this breakpoint changed everything

  • this is the point that probably get Federer on the right track in his career. Imagine what would've happened if Haas broke serve and served the match out, devastating loss for Federer, even more than 2008 Wimbly perhaps,

one single point saved his career

  • @eboood90 agree... I think it was the single most important shot for Rog at the FO that year... he misses that shot, Haas serves for the match, and right away too- there wouldnt have been a changeover so Haas would nt have time to sit there and psyche himself out too... best FH of the tourney bar none!!

  • @palmagranite success is achieved at adversity. If he is good enough to win he will. If he wasn't good enough to win he would have lost regardless of whether nadal played. 2009 if nadal had play in final i bet he'll lose to federer as he was not on par. Then the fans will come up with another excuse that nadal is injured.

  • maybe we don't know

  • i love the sound that is made every time they impart a lot of topspin on the ball, it's almost like a gunshot every time. It's as good as the sound that's made in Arthur Ashe Stadium

  • It was gutsy for Federer to go for the big forehand at 30 - 40 and 3 4 down considering how errant it had been,

  • 0:15 ... turning point of the match.

  • a great confidence booster for haas despite loss

  • sssh did you hear that?????? Federer is grunting!

    Best Federer of all

  • well it would have been very disappointing for him if he did not win that french open, so it made things much easier afterwards.

  • the turning point of federer's career is when he decided to play tennis :)
