  • were their any leftys there ps how much do you pull

  • guys quit giving him crap about how far it is, how many shots do you see when your in the woods that is more than 30 yds with a bow? he killed this course and i dont think you noticed the young part in the title.

  • All you need is a wrist sling so you don't have to grip your bow,

  • nice shot

  • Sweet video. I'm a left handed archer myself. You did hella well! good job. I just did my second competition and loaded a video. Didn't do as well as you but still placed ;)

  • Left handed shooter and how many yards are you shooting and are you shooting carbon or aluminum arrow's. & are you shooting the blazer's fletching.

  • I'm so excited for the shoots this year! Thanks for the video to keep me pumped up!

  • Nice Shooting! Nice to see another lefty out there winning tourneys!

  • and the type of bows are old looking and i could own any day if the shot was that close to be talking would probably be around 35 to 40 yards to where u cant see the vital area and its all instinct.

  • Maybe if you shot a longer axle-to-axle bow, you would be more accurate!

  • congrats on winning and the shootoff!! good shooting

  • ok .... how old is the guy that wa shooting first???? and wht lbs is his bow .... and are you allowed to use range finders in this competition???and do you only get three shots and then measure your group or it measures to the middle of the target?

  • Keep it up bud, practice makes perfect. I plan on joining a club next year.Use to shoot every day when i was your age. No better feeling when your on top of your game.

  • wow...watching you shoot just showed me how good i am :) haha jk...i shot the eye out of a 3d target at thirty yards twice..and i have a like 7 year old compound...beat dat! ur a pretty good shot though...

  • dude, your not good......

  • neither are you

  • you are unreal at comebacks

  • ya ha how long have u been shooting?

  • competetive for 3 years, shooting for 8

  • nice ive only been shooting one...but i know people that have been shooting for 18 years with a 1,000 dollar bow and i outshot them...but im not consistent for a long time, only about 1 hour of shooting...

  • doesn't matter how much a bow is worth, having a 1000$ bow doesn't make an archer

  • ya...but the difference between a 8 year old compound and a mathews reezen is a big difference

  • you give a really old bow to a pro, and they'll shoot it really well. maybe those people at your range only have a 1000$ because they wanted to buy some nice equipment, doesn't mean they are good just because they have good equipment.

  • ya true...

  • And your not shooting with back tension your kinda punching it

  • I wasn't shooting a back tension release, I was shooting a caliper release.

  • You can still shoot back tension with it its a little bit hard to get used to on those types of releases well yeah i use one for hunting and i shoot back tension works for me :P ,,, also im getting back into 3D again shooting a martin RAGE with fury cams well yeah nice shooting man keep on keepin on.

  • aw but your using range finders whats the fun in that

  • No range finder, what I'm using is called a monocular. Look it up.

    Range finders are not allowed.

  • every shot is like 20-25 yards, thats not hard

  • Did you see the last shot? It was 62 yards.

  • @Youngsportsman sweeet stuff

  • @Youngsportsman 62 yards isnt that far in the gran scheam of things, i shoot 100 yards in competition, and i shoot it with a recurve >.>

  • Great vid & good job shooting those targets.

  • Thanks, I plan on doing an even better job this year!

  • I bought the ultra rest for my diamond black Ice. But then moved to the G5 rest because it was easier to tune and Its really accurate. I rely on that rest so I put it on my target bow( mathews conquest apex). I think this is the best rest in my opinion. You could go to the ripcord rest because its pretty much the same thing as the ultra rest, but it drops faster and is easier to tune as well.

  • np man, do you hear a twang each time you shoot? its probably due to the ultra rest.

  • I haven't really noticed any excess noise, but there very well could be excess noise caused by the Ultra Rest, i just haven't noticed it.

What type of bow do you shoot?

  • @Youngsportsman what type of bow do you shoot? I just started Archery 1 month ago when I made the school archery team, but I was wondering what is the draw strength? and what are you pulling the string back with?

  • thought so. This was actually the rest that I had with this problem. no matter how long the timming cord was I still couldn't get total fletch clearance. If i were you I would get either a limb driver, ripcord, or the super quiet and amazingly accurate G5 expert I or II

  • Thanks, I'll look into the names of the rests that you gave me. I might be getting a different bow soon, so if I do I might get one of the rests you recommended. Thanks again!

  • well just looking at the arrow before its drawn, the nock is high, and when your at full draw the nock looks still high. maybe when you paper tuned you were getting fletch contact and having a high nock allows for total fletch clearance. what arrow rest do you have?

  • I have a ULTRA-REST HUNTER

  • your nock is to high eh

  • I really don't think so. My bow is it paper tuned and it's shooting very well. ( - ;

  • :)

    great video
