  • OMG!!! I have tried various peach cobbler recipes including one from Paula Deen and Aretha Franklin. I must say....you hit it out of the ball park with this one!!! This is my absolute favorite. I have made it 3 times in the course of three weeks. Thank you so much. I have been searching all over for that perfect peach cobbler recipe. And, this one is definitely the one. I will be purchasing your cook book!!

  • I have tried and many many many many recipes for peach cobbler. Even Paula Dean, (love her to death) but this recipe is by far the best. This is the one that goes into my cookbook forever. Thanks for sharing this. Oh and I added a little twist to it also. I added a tablespoon of peach shnaaps to it. My family loved it. I mean my entire family. LOL. my mother is still talking about it and i made it over a month ago. thanks again

  • @elinheartstristin You will be suprised how many Canadians don't know what Soul food is. As an African American that lives in Toronto, I always have to explain to canadians what it is. I always cook it for my friends and co-workers.

  • This recipe was Delish everyone loved it but I placed mines in more of a Pyrex glass bowl. And the pie crust feel in lol so I had a bowl full of crust which was thick, but i will try again the filling was so good with the cinnamon would it be beneficial to add a little of nutmeg also if so how much should I add? Also how do I get a more buttery sweet Pie crust. Also the cook and serve pudding was a great touch I like how it made the filling taste...

  • That looks good but it's actually a pie...not a cobbler. You should check out Paula Deen"s peach cobbler recipe. It's easy, authentic, and absolutely delicious. Your pie looks great though. I'm going to try it.

  • Do you put cinnamon or nutmeg in peach cobbler? The pudding is to make it thick but where is the flavor?

  • @sexxyat40 The pudding, vanilla extract, butter and peaches are all very flavorful. Feel free ti add cinnamon and nutmeg to taste however. They are both great!

  • This was delicious! The addition of the vanilla pudding was the key ingredient missing in most recipies. I used a Pillsbury crust, 1 can of 24 oz peaches...

  • Pamela I made this for Christmas and it tasted great I followed the recipe to a tee adding nothing but your ingredients I added melted butter on top sprinkling sugar on top. The pudding made this dish, it took away that sometimes floury taste it was smooth and I can't wait for a church social to bring this dish...I just finished the last little bite and it was creamy and buttery to the end.. staying crunchy as well

The Spoonbread was just right, the yams were great and the potato salad was off the chain! I made some Lasagna that wasn't as tasty, can u show us how to make great lasagna?   • i never had this kind before with pudding although I suspect in a soul food resturant i could have it looks similar in texture to those I suspect yours will be tastier.. this looks great im writing it down to try for christmas.. Great Video

  • Just use cornstarch instead of pudding.

  • The rich vanilla flavor of the pudding is delightful. It also gives the smooth texture I look for in classic peach cobbler.
