  • personal fav. Thanks from México shitty..

  • Behind Bars was such a sick album. Right on par with Great Adventures Of..

I used to bang the shit out of this on my Walkman back in 1994 on the bus to high school.

    Great music never dies!

  • Excellent Upload . I play this song whenever I go through a Bad Day

  • Need this instrumental pleas someone link ?

  • N!!!!!CE

  • 0 dislikes. Keep it that way.

  • I need.... this instrumental

  • DOPE

  • all alone no one to be with....The beat was Wow.

  • What album is this on? Best storyteller in hip hop!

  • Flow? "Flawless"...Lyricism? "On point"...Story telling ability? "Priceless." SLICK RICK Da Ruler....Crumbs.

  • I'm only 15 and this beats anything We'v got today in my opinion.

  • this song saved my life. thanks rick

  • fake cats take notes

  • Slick Rick exemplifies what hip hop truly is in one of it's elements. One of the greatest MCs to ever step in the game and pave the way. Just listen to that smooth mellow beat and the narrative lyrics. I could listen to this a million times and never get tired of it. Hell the whole Behind Bars LP, which is an instant classic in my eyes.

  • the art of storytelling!

  • its funny that all the uploads of this are taken from the Everything But the Girl 'Back To Mine' album.

  • very good.....

  • por favor a quien tenga esta cancion favor de enviarla al correo: lebarranco@hotmail

  • best musician that ever lived!!!

beatles arent even on this level :)

    hate on me beatle fans

  • most music now and days suck (not just hip hop). I just can't figure out why it went from ..

something with creative lyrics or lyrical tactics.

    or their just sayin something.

to... "shake that booty in the club hoe!"

    phss...

  • @youandyourmusic i agree. but this statement is probably what our forefathers said about rock and roll, and theirs about jazz.. etc etc.. know what i mean? ;)

  • @narcissus79 that's true but we generation x and y appreciate good music regardless of what era it comes from. Today music is just horrible and everyone who knows what good music is can agree on that. I can't believe so many young people are really into this Lil Wayne, Drake, Soulja Boy, T-Pain, all these phony characters; Madonna was something but wtf is Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, Just Bieber, Ke$ha, lol music went down the drain.

  • @MobHeataEnt there are still good artists out there writing original stuff that is still good.. listen to the Presets.. something different, not necessarily hip hop, but a great orig band :) hope you enjoy

  • serious memories thank you so much man fayette and lombrard east side summertime

  • This shows how underrated Slick is. People always talk about 2pa'c Brenda's got a baby. but that song as nothing on this.

  • i actualy listen to slick more than pac but ur high if you think its better than brendas got a baby

  • hip hop isnt dead! i its in are head!

we still listening to this! are we not!

we just live in the oldskool.

  • just cuz we listen to old shit dosnt mean its not dead. its like looken at pictures of somebody after they died your just remembering the good times

  • hip hop reached its peak! in the 90s and faded ever since slowly (4 Me)

And as long as we still blaze out the classics its alive in us!

    Like mozart is still relevant!

  • rozkurw

  • one of slick rick's best trackz ;)

  • @svenniking definately.. i found this on everything but the girl's back to mine compilation.. never found it on an album.. trying to get it on limewire right now ;)

  • the ruler....love you man

  • mmm stimulates the mind...

  • what a tune ...i was thinking of upping, nice one mate.***** from me.

  • me too....alone

  • 1980-1990's. those were the years in hip hop. now i dont even know. other then underground hip hop today there is nothing for us hi hop cats to be proud of.

  • a hip-hop masterpiece!

  • thank you for adding this !

  • 100 stars!!

  • yo i've been looking for this song i use to play this joint in my range rover through new york that was the best time for hip hop in newyork it felt so good damn thanks bro

  • no problem man, glad someone was into this in a big way :)

  • 1994-1995 era for hip-hop shit

    those beats off tha chain

  • my brother from another mother!

  • @mrantwan1985 That is the golden age of hip hop...after that its been kinda downhill beat wise.

  • cool, mellow, something to light a spliff to..

when i first started DJing.. i started off with Hip-Hop.. but eventually gave it up after Biggie Smalls was murdered..

  • Nice! 94 was the shit! Listen to this then listen to Laffy Taffy! Its a shame!

  • is that a remake of the track of the same name by monie love?

  • Hell no! Its some new crap with a silly dance! It could never compare to Monie!

  • haha oh good, glad i asked before i searched in that case!! im trying not to pollute myself with anything modern these days haha. i gave up on new music in roughly 1998!

  • me 2 bro

  • hahaha nice comparison. laffy taffy is fucking dog shit

  • hahah lots of mindless garbage out now , lil wayne , soulja boy , da shop boys , i drive in silence if my mp3 player dies because i cant stand the radio

  • @1234567aka I listen to the radio very seldom, I listening to the more softer stations; although even those get a bit irate because they play new school mainstream R&B but overall is good. Also Listen to the Jazz channel, but like I said; most of the time I listen to AM, the news. Its good to know whats going on in the world.

  • mellow
