nice! i can do these but lately i been thinking of trying Round off tuck or layout? I can do round off tucks at my local Gym. But what's easyer Layout or Tuck? Seems to me that layouts are easyer & safer. then a tuck go so high up maybe forget to tuck and fall :S Layout seems like fast flick of the legs to flip you, Kinda like BHS without hands more height
@KrazyKeaz A proper layout is considerably harder, the move you're describing is a whipback; essentially a 'no handed' flic. The layout should go up high like the tuck, but because your body and legs are straight you rotate a lot slower and more power is required to make it around to your feet.
@natcomber13 Thanks for reply. Yeah whipbacks! are those less fearful/easyer then going up and tucking? cause somtimes wen i do RD BHS i get height and my hands berly touch grass. I was thinking i could maby just whip it
@KrazyKeaz If whipback seems easier for you then there is no reason why you shouldn't try that first, just be aware that it may give you bad habits and make it harder to get a decent tuck and layout later on. Conventional gymnastics teaching would probably teach tuck back first, but as I said it is up to you :)
@sheldonabc it sure helps, but look at my bridge!! I reach a much better shape in the bhs than i do statically, just think about arching and straightening your legs and it will come! :)
hey natcomber, i need your help, i can do a round off backflip and i did a standing backflip on cocrete today, but when i try a BHS i go to the left, so it looks ugly, any tips on how i can make my BHS go straight??
@TrickBigOrgoHome You mean you twist a little bit in the bhs? in that case practice layouts and keep the arm that is opposite to the twist direction literraly scotched to your body and leave free the other. Eg: you twist a bit to the left keep your right arm scotched to your chest. if you just go diagonally from the round off to the bhs just practice the roundoff and make sure you do 180° properly and aim back staying as neutral as you can.
@SIMMONATOR96 it was a bit problem of my own too, for me it kinda just sorted itself out (I know they're slightly bent here but i can do completely straight legs if I really think about it haha) Try actively thinking about tightening your legs and pointing your toes; really helps extend the rest of the leg
@trampoline1996 I have a standing back tutorial, but i'm not gonna do a roundoff back tutorial; if you read the description you'll see why :) I can help you though if you have a vid?
@natcomber13 i have some vids but they are old clips i just wanted to upload :) i dont have any backflip videos :/ im a gymnast so on an air track i can do roundoff backflip, maybe on a tumbling track.
i can do a frontflip on a tramp but im to scared that i will break my neck doing a backflip plz help
