Bellydance is not discriminating when it comes to a woman's size.....the reason some women cover the midsection is not because they don't feel sexy...its because they are either modest or iin some cases, in the dancer's country of origin, its against the LAW to bare the belly. I have a friend who had multiple scarring on her stomach area from an accident. She covered for that reason. It is a matter of opinion how anyone wants to view a bellydancer. Butyou need an actual BELLY to bellydance.

There is just nothing nice I can say about these dresses... they need to show body movement, not cover it up. Plus, a full body dress (the blue one) make chubbiness look worse. I've never seen a belly dancer wear a full body dress before.

But... the dresses don't make you look good... just as a tip. It's a missunderstanding that neat full-body-dresses make you look more slim than belly-free (esp. one with a round hole on the belly...)!

Besides, the nice movements and shimmy is not seen well with a belly-covered dress. Don't be shy, a little bit of belly MUST be for belly dancing. ^^ You have a nice body, so show it for dancing!

If I feel my belly is NOT sexy, and it is not, I can evaporate sexiness only when I cover it. And maybe so does she. Or she just likes the costume.
