  • hey is this stacks or exhaust

  • @gratmcgat ? As seen in the video its smoke stacks......

  • @kennyyak so...yes?

  • @gratmcgat yup.

  • you can also move the fuel plate i believe its all the way back rite now, even the stck one is adjustable, just pull off the cover and move it allllll the way forward, mite not be as much as a #6 or my #0 but it still helps. let me know how it goes.

  • Wow that's good amount of boost. I'm looking for a similar truck that's a cummins same year and everything but no luck so far

  • Stock turbo or upgraded?

  • @pbplayer91 Stock unfortunately but its putting down 40lbs of boost!

  • @kennyyak ....you got a boost elbow an custom wastegate ?

  • @dodgedude101 Stock wastegate but did install the boost elbow.

  • @kennyyak....you just tune ur wastegate to get more boost ??? i'm just wonderin on how to do it, cause i'm lookin to get a boost elbow for my 96 an lookin for around 30 to 35psi boost

  • how many inch stacks?

  • @SockBilly They are 6". It's a GrandRock kit I got it off of ebay.

  • what size injectors you running?

  • @TheNeckasaurus Stock injectors..... for now :-)

  • @kennyyak Have you messed with your afc at all?

  • @TheNeckasaurus I turned the starwheel over a little bit and have looked into getting the spring kit for it but am not sure if it will benefit that much. Any experience with the spring kit?

  • @kennyyak The 4GSK is the way to go but remember when you get that you have the get the HD (60lb) springs as well. They usually sell them together. I did it to my '95, but even before that I did my timing, afc mods, and all the other "free" mods before doing the 4gsk. They made it seem like you are driiving a gas rig? Huuuuge difference! Totally worth it IMO, I have a '95 SCLB 4x4 with all the free mods, 4gsk, custom exhaust, custom intake, smoke screw, and some other things.

  • @kennyyak I smoke brand new trucks all the time, with all their electronic BS! hahaha

  • @TheNeckasaurus fuck electronics!!

  • @randytune88 thats the spirit

  • hey, ive always wondered how do you keep water out of the stacks, when its parked in the rain?

  • @mxz440skidoo Just throw some big coffee can ontop and your fine, if you pass by a truck stop one day and its raining you might some of the Semi's with coffee can to stop that.

  • @mxz440skidoo like the other guy said they put diffrent cans on top to stop it. but some idiots drill a hole in the bottom of the y pipe so the water can drain out.. causing an exhaust leak.

  • @xXFmxKingXx yeahh, i herd people will drill a hole and then put a plug in it and when they park the truck they pull the plug if it rains.

  • @mxz440skidoo thats a good idea, but i still wouldnt do it

  • @xXFmxKingXx yeah the coffee cans are a good idea

  • @mxz440skidoo or flappers, like the ones used on some bigger semi trucks.

  • @mxz440skidoo I acutally made some covers for the stacks out of marine vinyl with a bit of elastic on the bottom. They fit well and look pretty decent as well.

  • @mxz440skidoo Coffee cans work perfect...

  • @mxz440skidoo alot of kits also have small holes at the bottom.

  • @mxz440skidoo Rain caps, big trucks had them for years....also known as trash can lids. They are on hinges.

  • @mxz440skidoo alot of people drill a small hole in the bottom of the elbow that goes up to the stacks so it drains out of it, and the its small enough that the exhaust wont leak out of it

  • Im looking at the exact same truck near me, its a 4x4 12valve Cummins, hes asking 6000 CND (Im in canada so its gona be a bit more lol so lets say 5500 USD?) it has 200,000 Miles on it. How do these things hold Up? I wana buy something that wont break down on me like 6 months after I buy it.

p.s I dont drive my vehicles hard. lol

  • @WetDirtProductions i bought one of these trucks the other day and i took it for a long extensive drive and it held up so well, its a fantastic truck, the only thing i can think of is the front wheels eat up bearing unless you can get an upgraded thing. (im only 16 and my dads friend haas a truck like mine loll) it had little rust an i got it for 9grand. overall from what i have read it is a great truck. is yours a daully??

  • how much did thse stacks run u and how hard were they to instal?

  • They were $490 from ebay and are a Grandrock kit. Not too bad to install just cut the hole in the bed and thats about it. The only tough part was having to cut out a piece of the steel channel under the bed for the ubolt to come through. Nice kit though and it sounds good going down the road.

  • @kennyyak You might want to throw some paint on your Y-pipe in the bed. I have the kit from grand rock's, and mine began to rust after a while. It was a non stop job of takeing emory cloth& rubbing out the rust. Ended up putting on black engine block paint. Just a friendly idea for ya.

  • @CSXtrackworker Yeah I did that a couple months ago I realized it out of the box that the y-pipe had already had some rust on it....... Only problem is I can't find any high heat spray paint that is truly black when its dry, I have done two different brands and this one is better but still has a bit of a brown color to it. What kind did you use?

  • @kennyyak I have used rustoleum engine block paint which dries black& some teflon coated engine block paint from pep boy's. Only problem I have, is that on the y pipe where it split's into two pipes mine always flakes off. I am sanding and repainting that little section once a month. Oh well, better than rusty pipes!

  • @kennyyak try duplicolor if you havnt already fixed the problem. they have high temp paints that should work
