  • This song is perfect from start to finish.

  • This is great

And it sounds very ahead of its time too, both with the song and video.

  • 5 ppl are fans on jstin beiber

    I <3 THIS

  • i was at high school when this came out :)not sure why but i liked it and still do!!!!! go hard ratcat ,where are they now ?

  • @neat85 I heard an interview once with the spunky lead singer and he said grunge (nirvana) killed em. they were so cool though :)

  • @hollykillsthrills What a foolish thing to say! Ratctat had loud guitars and a pop sensibility, they could have fit in perfectly. I can imagine them on the same bill as Nirvana ! I mean come on, Teenage fanclub opened for Nirvana in '92 and they were "lalala" pop music. The Vaselines were very twee...

  • @neat85 Amr Zaid (my uncle) left band, he has two kids now, and started a new band.. dont as me name lol. I think Simon (lead singer)is still liking some songs..

  • I never realised how 50s greaser he looked in 5this video.. but then again.. I was 10 years old

  • crap song, poxy innercity sound typical for that time .

  • @neonjunglejumper You're an dirty arse hunter!

  • i cant believe this is not on itunes :(

  • i met simon in person, shook his hand kissed him on the cheek, soo good looking

  • I'm so high right now - this is brilliant!

  • You know that he was always singing "dogs gonads" not "don't go now". That is the story I've heard.

  • I saw simon day so zoobered that he punched his girlfriend of the night in the face at the evening star hotel. From that point on i couldn't like the guy.

  • i need the cd

  • wow just wow, so very lame.. I remember this crap.....

  • love it'

  • crap song, terrible.

    POXY !

  • your a dickhead

  • This is on the sound track to Hawaii91.. a great surfing film!!!

  • can you post the video of the song RAIN??

  • Ratcat were great, why do some great Aussie bands die early? such as Screaming Jets and MGF. Hmmmmm maybe Simon Dey and Pinky Beecroft should make some tunes together...

  • Simon is hot. Still is today! This song is such a feel good tune! love it!

  • Nice upload, I've always been curious how the music video clip looks like.

  • Yes i agree. They are very similar to Short Stack. I wonder if they modeled themselves on Ratcat? lol This clip reminds me of the Princess video :)

  • no way is short stack take any shape, form or sound like ratcat. ratcat is awesome and sound great. short stack is fucking shit and should die in a fat man's arsehole

  • 90,s short stack?

  • Hot singer!!

  • did these guys start Emo? LoL

  • How massive was this song. These guys were doing 3 gigs a night in Sydney 1990/91 they were that big. They'd have multiple crews setting up their PA and they'd just bail up in a van, run on stage and hit it, do a 60 minute set and leg it across town to another one.

  • I was so in love with Simon Day.. Im sure i still have their CD in my collection somewhere!!

  • I kissed a girl for the first time in the spa at my mate's house while this song was playing. I was 16! :Memories : )

  • Oh! This was my favourite cassingle of 91.

I just tried to find this on iTunes to buy but seems they're yet to upload the cassingle selection.

  • Hahaha classic.From bill76.

  • Love the music video! Song brings back memories :-)

  • Haha i remember flogging my sisters cassette of this, nothing quiet like cheesey music from the 80s/90s.

  • fhjdghuhhhdegggyuteydyhyrfyygyuyghgggdgdgdgtdgtftetggygeftew5ewr

  • love'd it then still do

  • not true, have a look at the music they were puttin forth and the audience (12-16 y.o) what other image could he have displayed

  • Thank god!

  • lol you tell em

  • @hatedarich - Dont't be ashamed about liking this my friend. I'm into whatevers pretty heavyish (Pearl Jam, Wolfies, Brit India, Children Collide etc) Ratcat rocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I kinda retract my statement sure the song isn't a classic like That ain't bad and it was a dissapointment when it came out, but i found myself singing along to it yesterday it's very catchy .This band reminds me of good times watching E steet in the early ninties and my friends udercut long on top hair cut the Ratcat look. Listen to the first track on blind love it sounds like the Vines though heaps better.

  • Not as good as That ain't bad. A dissapointment when it came out ,even his new look sucked

  • Their earlier stuff before that Ain't Bad is also really good, more raw.

  • Great Hit Song! They had a couple of great hit songs then Disapeared! Thanks for posting vid!

  • Yep, they got screwed by their record company.

  • how did they get screwed by their record company? what happened?

  • Yes. Ratcat were good when they were found. But then the dumbarse producers went and fucked with their music and made it sound pop.

  • these guys were fucked how the hell did they crack it, hopeless 4 chord wonders, acnt even sing listen to that overproduced vocal

  • Dickhead

  • Funny, these guys were huge when they released this song. Then they disappeared off the face of the planet.

  • I used to hate this song. They played it on video hits every time we had an Australian special and I'd quickly change the channel.

Now I own all of their albums and am madly in love with Simon Day. How times change =D

  • it's funny, I used to like it a lot and now I think it sucks... no offense...

  • I hadn't heard this song for years until 2 weeks ago on the radio. Days later, I still couldn't remember the bands name, until I had an afternoon nap- ratcat! Could'nt purchase the song on my phone however I am relieved to have seen this music vid after soo long. Thanks Ratcat and youtube..FUCKING LEGENDS!!!

  • oh come on, they nearly always had at leat 4 chords!

  • ratcat are 10,000 times better than spin doctors!

  • proof that fashion goes in cycles! XD

    Grande Ratcat !!! jajaa

  • I'm 16. I only just discovered Ratcat a couple of months ago.

    I Love this band!!

  • wonder where they are now hahahahaha

  • Ratcat were fuckin ace, this & That Ain't Bad both went to # 1 is Oz. Wouldn't it be good to have a good rock band back at # 1!

  • FUckin best song !

  • My friends made fun of me because I liked Ratcat and had their album Blind Love

  • Anyone else reminded of the Spin Doctors?

  • i remember Simon being a great pinball player ...

  • rat cat is my cats name *-*

    cool song!

  • the 90s were good times

  • wanker

  • actually this tune has 5 chords all up...

  • 3 chord wonders can do great things...how many did the Beatles do? hmm

  • they played this on american radio in b'more about two times. i went and got their cassettes the next day. wish i hadem now. loved thier stuff. them and material issue were the antidote to boring grundge rock. just my op.

  • *slow clap*

  • i remember watching when i was a kid on rage! classic song

  • Is it really 16 years old???? I was in Year 11. Puck me.

  • jesus, me too. time flies!

    ratcat were awesome.

  • these guys are pretty good, can see why they were so big in 91

  • Bring back memories, I wonder what these guys are up to nawadays?

  • omg i used to love this song soooo much!!! i used to think the lead singer was sucha spunk!! lol!

  • myk us 25. and only heard this on jjj, yay for jjj. folks larfd at my ratcat questions.

  • Along with playing lego,my most fond memory of 1990/1991

  • Brings back memories. Funny, happy song!

  • Ratcat copying the emerging Madchester sound of the day, sounds like the soup dragons and many other manchester bands of those days. This song reminds me of a girl called cindy who worked at Dwyer Durack in Perth back then. happy fuckin days!

  • Saw them in Woollongong in '91, god I'm getting old :(

  • Sooo 1991 lol reminds me from when i was little, remember the song but not the clip

  • I remember watching this clip when i was little, i always wanted those toy cars.

  • RatCat are awesomeeeeee. Lead singer = hott.

  • what a crap band, 3 chord wonders

  • Their Pretty Good....Whatever Happened To Them

  • They got srewed by their record company. Though I did see them at Sydney Big Day Out a few years back.

  • One of the most underated Australian band's of all time...Second only to the Church!!!...

  • Damn right - couldn't agree more! Aussie music was so much better then.

  • Haha, this is funny shit. I was in a band a couple of years ago with Amr Zaid the bass player from Ratcat. He still looks exactly the same.

  • Haha, He is my Uncle, Im not kidding either.

He has been in a few bands I have heard.

  • Apparently he played bass in the band I used to be in. I was the next bassplayer.

  • Mmmm Simon Day...

  • It is all about Simon Day!
