why do your pokemon "Hang on to life"

@powertoy5 I think he plays on an R4 unit, where some stuff is translated directly from Japanese. Hanging on to life indicates that a Pokemon holds a Life Orb the same way "X lost some of its HP" does.

random matchup and oppoment? How do I set my DS up? I have registred my game at pokemon-gl, but what shall i do with the DS to get it to work?

@ostefimseren just go to the lady in the pokecenter on the 2nd floor at the top right and go to random battle, then you'll battle online with the pokemon in your party
