@jmegrl17 thats an antique swiss movement, keywind. about 1880's or so. what it was intended for has now been taken away and made into a useless piece of brass. you're a fool if you think a watch like that was could be bought for 99 cents. idiot.
@ElginPocketwatch ok... you totally missed the point of the sarcasm. read the description again and rethink what you just said. this was made out a pocket watch that was in such pore condition it was a challenge to even get the gears to turn. but instead of throwing it in the trash (where they probably found it) they fixed it up and put it around neck because they appreciated the inner workings of the watch so much that the saw it as a work of art in itself.
@ElginPocketwatch It's an art form, and people like it. If you don't like it, don't watch the video. We know people dislike steampunk, you don't need to tell us.
@whowantsabighug no they didn't but the victorians weren't steampunk... they were victorian. steampunk revolves around steam, thus the name "steampunk".
@whowantsabighug are you kidding me? the victorians lived on steam. they survived off of it. they ate it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. steam was their life. steam was their soul. their souls were made of steam. is your soul made of steam huh? huh? isyosoulmadasteamystuff?hmmm?
@ishouldplayzelda the clockwork is one of the defining paradigms of steampunk. Most steam techs would use gears, can't have a very efficient steam engine without gears. Then again i'm more of a clockwork steampunk than i am flourentine steampunk with all the vine patterns. I love the workhorse look of gears in steampunk design!
Awesome jewlery, wouldn't mind having something like that bolted to my long coat, probably over the heart :D
is it roung this gave me a boner ???

leave it to "steampunks" to destroy amazing pieces of work like what that movement used to be.

that's more clockpunk than steampunk seeing as how it's utilizing a clock mechanism rather than steam power, it's still pretty cool though.

@ishouldplayzelda LOL? Steampunk doesn't just rely on steam you realize, did the Victorians just rely on steam?

@Palafico3 do you think your grandparents-great grandparents gave half a fuck about steam power? steam back then is like a nuclear power plant today.
