  • Comment removed

  • Dis vid wud hav ben alot betr if dat incessant vibration wasn't fukn it up

    Why U did dat doo?

  • Not only was this video educational, it was entertaining!

  • does alpine make a reconing kits for these subs as i have these but not sure if there blown or not

  • Nice Set up...

  • i had a 15" kicker comp that was doing the same thing i looked at this vid and was like no way this wont work well my brother was like try it its not like ur going to lose any thing when the this is already blown so to took my sub inside my house and found out my magnet was lose the i took the cone and the spyder off then took the magnet off put some glue on the magnet put the fram back on the magnet and then did waht he did in the vid with the screw drivers and glued everything and it worked

  • haha yh rite repair my foot kmlll dat look like a brand new sub

  • @burninggundam6 why do that its piss easy to repair a sub like this

  • ur a moron

  • Don't lie, you just went and got a new one. How did you shim the coil in the gap?

  • @groundpound4200 haha lol that would have been a good idea but nah i did actually repair it, what do you mean shim? you just have to be playing a 3hz tone through the coil as you stick the spider and surround down, it doesnt actually affect the way the glue dries, you can slide it on the wet glue to get it lined up perfectly. Although now the cone has been ripped off this as the sub had other problems with the paper cone being creased

  • lol 2:08 shuf happens lol

  • i wrapped electrical tape around the pole piece , and glue them with epoxy, and when its set i pull the tape off and its perfectly aligned

  • At 3:45,,, you just smashed the bottom of the VC former(mushroomed it), so it's shorter in length, and won't hit the back plate as easily.

  • Hey dude whats up I have to ask Can u make a video on how to remover the spider without breaking it I rebuild alot of subs and I have the same sub and i think its having the same problems can u show me how u did it or make a video for the next time...anyhow gud video dude

  • lol my speaker straighent up it self like that after i just started banging it across the floor i was so pisst after that it worked perfect hahahaah

  • how did u take it apart without damaging it?

  • Are you familiar with the works of William Shakespear ?

  • whats the song playing at 3:20

i would like to know please and thank you

  • i have a 15 inch emphaser sub with 700 watt RMS but hee is death from my friend ):

  • dude how do u get spiders off without damageing them? and the sam with the termanals please tell me man!!!

  • Quick question - I have the same alpine type S sub as you have in this video. My sub has started to make a rattling sound, which goes away after playing beats at a medium volume for about 15mins. Any idea what is is? Just like a missalignment of magnets?

  • great vid. it made me laugh at 2:09 though but that was a huge help. got in a car crash then mine was lik that.

  • valenghi dont get a muntant they are poor quality well the one from halfords is and ull jus kill it easy

  • @JOSHWF2 wat the one i have? i mean its not great

but its ok for home use!

  • @wooferfreak i guess so probs as loud as my woofers but cumon you know when its goin to be crap wheen ther selling them off at £25 :/

  • I have a Mutant 12" sub lying around that i havn't bothered to fix. It seems to work fine for a while but then just keeps cutting out and then totally cuts out. I re-wired the connections to the outside of the housing and still the same??? any help???

  • wat glue wud be good to put it back?

  • i just used Bostik all purpose - Any gloopy superglue will do!

  • Wow ur good! Thanks alot man that was great info thanks again =)

  • I have a 15 inch audiobahn nd it makes like a scratching noice when the cone goes up or down. Wat do u think that means? Nd is it repairable?

  • Most likely is your magnet has moved out of line with the coil - therefore the coil rubs against it. This isnt uncommon to happen especially if the subs been dropped, or just man-handled...

being a 15" it will have a very powerful magnet. If you like you can try and lever the magnet off with a long flathead screwdriver, and re-align it. Thats hard to do unless you take the cone / spider off though... up to you! Sounds likek the exact same problem as in this vid. :)

  • can u fix my 2 subs ?

  • if you can get them to me somehow and the damage is mechanical (not a blown coil) then yes

  • your videos are jokes, good work on the repair

  • i had a 12inch one of these

  • Nice man good job at repairing his woofer! I love the screwdriver idea to align the magnet lol. You shuold get some shims lol

  • Cool man. At first it looked like maybe he had completely blown the vc. Cuz if you blow a voice coil just right the coil will come unwound and cause the speaker to become "stuck".

  • nice job! but whats with the double voice bit though? you should start a business doing this kinda stuff! lol

  • that's what i said but no-one cares about me :-(

  • double voice lol ?

  • oh dear whoops fukin movie maker lol :\ :\

  • good job

  • real good man...couple of questions plz...how did you get the spider off...did you just cut it with a knife? and how did you glue the spider back on.and what was the spider glued to? i want to try this with my blown alpine. 5* left 4 u.

  • very very good job! 5*

  • nice job bro!

    5/5*

    Boboridesbmx

  • cool cool i need mine sorting! when i push it down it does the same noise it needs to go down quite alot though and what glue do you use?

  • nice job bro 5/5

  • good job man 5/5. the same thing that happened to that 12 at the end happened to my 15

  • NIce spinni'n ^^

  • nice one

    sounds great

  • yay i can watch it now! you making any money? :-)

  • Very nice man, got that sub sounding great. 5/5

  • 2:08 WTF?? good vid tho

  • sky tec are shit

  • very true that

  • my subs are skytec and you said they're good!

  • maybe he was fibbing

  • nah he forgot.

why does everyone hate me at the moment?

  • wicked job done there man!

would give you 5, but will give you 4/5, as you should always clean the magnetic gap just incase there's any dirt, dust, etc in there which can cause it to rub/scrape or deform the coil former in the future.

  • use popsicle sticks next time man it's easier but nice vid man 5*

  • This video aint workin for me dude :-(

  • good repair. Really, one of the hardest things is to get that spider off. Its so tight on there to make sure under high excursion it does not seperate. But then what? Another? Lol, doubles are even harder. But good job on aligning it, I know those magnets are crazy strong, you cant align it 100% by hand. :P

  • the spider can be got off with that hairdryer trick he did earlier.

or with glue-bonder that softens the glue bond.

  • nice

  • cool

  • eka
