  • How long you juggle ?

  • 1:47 is a really cool pattern

  • genius video man! love the braking the rules idea!!! hahaha good juggling!

  • all the moves look dope!!

  • I was juggling yesterday in my bedroom and trying some wes/karas kind of tricks, and I remembered which was the first video I ever saw from you: this one. I had like 6 months juggling when I saw this, and I remember I really liked it.

    Keep on inspiring man!!

  • so none od those tricks counted. all caught wrong

  • great......

  • graet!! one day I' be there

  • Hey MichaelAKaras, check out my videos and let me know what you think. I want to know what a good juggler thinks. You're the best juggler I have seen yet!!!

  • I tried it and I think it's kind of scary to do (normal single spin, not flats) because the way the club is weighted the knobs spin at you instead of away.

  • Rebel!

  • Just to be clear, in WJF competition the wrong end is classified as the end of the club you do not intend to catch it on. Catching on the shell is perfectly acceptable if that is what you intended to do. If you intend to catch it on the shell, then the handle becomes the wrong end. Hope that doesn't kill the theme of your video.

  • Actually, on the contrary, a comment by the President of the WJF greatly enhances the theme of this video. Thanks Jason!

  • Oh, ok. It seems you meant that the WJF rules say the shell is always the wrong end and that the tricks you're doing in this video wouldn't be allowed which isn't true. I'm not sure how me commenting changes that. I must not get what you mean by wrong end.

  • Its been a while since I watched it. Love the tie dye. Yet another WJF banned item.

  • i dont suppose you've ever tried going from tripples to flats (relativly low) on the wrong end?

im trying it with double at the mo and its kinda hard, so, if you did, how did you get on?

  • its focking amazing

  • Haha, I believe tie-dyed shirts are also banned :D Love it.

  • crazyyy! love it.

  • i would love to see some of the people at the wjf try some of this stuff...

  • lol ... i realy love Micheals juggling. He and wes r most inspiring to me, but i cant understand the creation of this artificial gap between him and "the WJF jugglers" .. .. (btw many of "them" could do that kind of stuff)

  • by some of "this stuff" i meant the creativity, not the actual tricks, as i am sure many of them could pull these off. i think the gap is that michael karas juggles what he wants to juggle, and is creative, whereas the wjf is based purley on skill and nothing else. there is very little room for being different in the wjf.

  • Great soundtrack, gotta love Sublime.

I do think the rule has to do with intention, you can see a clear difference form how you are playing on the idea, to someone accidentally catting a half spin late. Like the idea of a spoof on the rule though, and a colliding vid would be perfect.

its all about intention, if you intend something for an effect then it is a trick.

  • Im a juggler myself (the only punk rock juggler in my school...) and that rebelion was hella nice!! Sideways 8 + thumbs up. keep juggling =]

  • WOW! i loved this video. let me list the reasons why:

    1) i have experimented with wrong-end juggling myself, so seeing your take on it for almost three minutes was sweet!

    2) as much as i love the WJF, i think that some jugglers forget that there is anything else in juggling. your video reminded me of that

    3) sublime. enough said.

  • Hey Karas!

    You're amazing!

Is there any way you can record at least the "A. The objects collide" video?

I'm sure it would be great...

    Thanks!

  • Sure! I'll try to film it this summer.

  • Thanks for answering!

  • great video ^^

if i were you i would be too afraid to juggle torches for a long time... after that practise you might unintentionally spontaneously build in some scorch catches O_ó

  • You would do very well in the competition, I think. Catching and throwing the body is harder than the handle. A little misinforming, but still a great video, nonetheless (as always). =P

  • Very cool Michael.

  • COOL

...and u did an ass catch, bravo! :P

  • Awesome video. I have to wonder: I was on the WJF forums, and someone asked a question about reverse backcrosses with intentional wrong-end catches. Jason pointed out that if you intended to catch the club on the shell, then that was the "right-way", and the handle is the wrong way. I wonder what would happen if someone submitted a routine like the one in your video to the jugges at the prelims.

  • that was awesome! I like that you were trying to prove a point. 5 stars!

  • I love this video.

  • very rebelous! i love it.

i hope to see other videos such as

    all coliding

maby off centre from your body

    and the like

    keep up the good work

ps great dancin feet at 1.10
