  • I guess we can't even build our own generators anymore. Yikes.

  • should have used a helicopter. a big one. maybe a couple big ones.

  • truly amazed what technology can do...almost everything that can not be done decades ago can be easily done now...yeahhh!!!

  • whats the 0-60mph on that setup?

  • @tyler8919 htf did you spin a horsepower thing into a political one

  • holy fucking shit DDD:

  • what would they use to spin that generator, hydro dam?

  • @Maheekun haha ya, that big one thats in the middle of nebraska lol

  • it take a year

  • Wouldn't it have been alot easier to bring the thing here in pieces and have it assembled at the plant?

  • Where is this, what is this and how much does it weigh?

  • hehe imagine getting that thing rolling down a hill and trying to stop it :p

  • A 747 loaded weighs that much

  • you wouldn't wanna be going from Darwin to Alice Springs with that load,

  • hate to blow atyre and have tro change it

  • did the loader come with dirt in the bucket for ballast, or is that where my mailbox ran off to?

  • @aejgx6 owe u 1 mailbox

  • VTEC KICKED IN YO

  • the infos stated 1 million pound--don't the american know theres a unit call ton after lb?-- which translate to 454 metric tonnes. very heavy load but not exactly mega by industrial standard.

  • What are they hauling and how much does it weigh?

  • idiot -.-

  • A megaload weighing about one million pounds traversed southeast Nebraska over the weekend, the final leg on its trek from Japan to the Omaha Public Power District power plant at Nebraska City.

The load not only consisted of an 800,000-pound electric generator, but a 250,000 pound trailer with 196 wheels and nearly 100 sets of brake shoes and drums.

it says it in the title

  • Kinda makes you appreciate the builders of the pyramids doesn't it ? Imagine using log rollers and muscle power !!

  • Using monster trucks or any supercharged alcohol engine would be out of the question the main reason being that they are only capable of producing that amount of power for a short time they wouldn't last a week and the fuel economy would be horrendous.

  • They Could Have Used Monster Truck Like About 5 pulling And 5 Pushing

  • monster trucks don't have even close to as much power as one of those rigs...

  • ya they do... just geared completely different.

  • no... monster trucks are running alcohol powered V8s at under 600 C.I. Their horsepower is insane, but they don't have the torque...

ie. the 2,200 ft-lbs that an ACERT 15L cat puts out...

  • they do have close to the torque as well, the gearing is just different .

  • No they don't. An 8 litre motor will not produce the same torque as a 16 L motor.

  • those rigs prolly have a n14 cummins in them tops, 14L, and you would be surprised the torque you can get out of burning alcohol compared to normal fuel.

  • Yes, of all the possible engines available I'm sure you are able to predict they have N14s...

You're still comparing a monster truck to a rig with a motor twice its size...

Regardless, monster trucks would be useless in the situation one way or the other.

  • they would be, but they would have the power to move them. 604CI=10L by the way

  • facepalm.jpg

  • those are contracter cargo trucks they have 3406e's or c15 with an 18 spd and a 4 spd aux trans

  • it's insane!

  • was that Chuck Norris?

  • @clayperk

no my friend it was his heart

  • @clayperk no just his breath....

  • and WERE causing global warming with gas emissions

  • What did they use that big of a generator for?

  • power plant

  • Ahh, I should have known that. Duh, I live on the Energy Capital of the World.

  • it's written in the description. lol

  • Hahaha, thanks for making me feel even dumber bro!

  • it reminds me of the base or the rocket ship that NASA uses

  • Holy shit!

how big is that ThinG! :O

    What is it?

  • Didnt it come in from brownville?
