DK kicks MetaKnights ass as if by design, so he can't be that broken, Ike also does very well, as does Bowser, and pretty much any other heavy character, particulairly if their attacks have long range.

What about the other characters that have multiple jumps: Dedede, Kirby, and Pit? Dedede actually is easier to recover with, his up smash goes pretty high. Whether a character is cheap or not really depends on how you use them. Zelda, for example: She uses fireballs, and if all you do is stand back and launch fireballs, yes THAT'S hella cheap. Pit's flying abilities are very cheap. If you're playing as Pit, there's no way of not recovering unless you fly so far you get blasted off the screen.

Sometimes If they are at the end of the stage, spin attack (B>) or spin and release (BV) and push them to the end of the screen by rolling, then jumping, then pulling off a Fair or F Air. It's hard to do... but... It's easy if your opponent is heavy weight or at the edge of the screen.

Knuckles is actually in the game. If you go to the Green Hill stage look carefully in the background. You will see Tails, Knuckles and Silver occasionally run past. Also you can find Shadow as an assist trophy.

Nah! There are some who are good with Sonic. Yes and Lucky do seem to both do well with him. Speed characters are somewhat on a the weak side when it comes to attacks, but they're great at dodging and evading. Also thing to keep in mind with Sonic is that he's light, making him easier to KO. Take Sheik for instance. Some would prefer to use her over Zelda because of her speed. She's not strong but she can get attacks in.

From what I understand, Meta Knight isn't that cheap, but he's a character anybody can pick up and be pretty decent with. Sonic, on the other hand, takes ages to get the hang of, let alone master. Give it a month or two.
