If my room is too cold, and I have a torch, would it be practical to use the torch to heat up the air in my room rapidly as the heater is warming up? I figured if burning wood was safe then the much cleaner burning alkane gas must be even safer.
@iman10000 Sky is blue because not only Oxygen but also Nitrogen (~78%) mostly. The atmosphere scatters blue light better than red light. Blue light is indeed reflected from the atmosphere. Red light usually makes it through all they way, This is why on sunrise or sunset the sky is redder, light has to travel through a lot more space in the atmosphere scattering more blue light leaving only the red light for you to see.
I'm sure the professor has done many great scientific works and taught a lot of people at University, but his greatest contribution to me, is these videos!
Is there a gas that behaves in anyway like a crystal -- as in (even under special circumstances) forms into a crystalline matrix? Could there be a form of piezo-technology established from this?
I would like to be U. Because I'll do good stuff at people if they treat me with respect, but I can be a little explosive somethimes, if they don't know how to 'use' me
LOL @ the guy saying he likes the professors hair, oh come on, even if it was not an insult or anything like that is still make people think "what the F is going on", just ask the damn question, dont do any extra fuzz :P
@JesperA86 - Come on, that hair deserves some sort of comment. Even scientists take a fraction of a moment to comment on the silly nature of being alive. It's what stops you being a humourless bore.
@betterthangrox - I want to pour florine on this guy to see how he reacts =D. I think he would agree to this, if you agree to it also. ;-p In the interest of science of course.

@bodinian I would advise using a sweater. If results are unsatisfactory, you might change your protocol to include using a parka.

I've been curious after your oxygen videos to whether the sky is blue because of blue oxygen, or because of light refraction. Thansk~
