I have a '79 928. I traded a '73 Mercedes for it...and I don't even know for sure if this 928 runs or not :). I have to admit I like those phone dial rims though.

Porsche 928... when you want to take your mistress from Germany to the south of Spain in the least amount of time possible... there is no subsitute. Love this car, it's still beautiful after 30 years.
Beautiful Porsche, what a true work of art. I own one in this color. I wish that Porsche continued to manufacture this. The areo dynamic on this car match up to and beyond todays standards. It would be nice to also add some horsepower to this already beastly engine just to catch it up a bit to these newer super engines being built.
I remember seeing the 928 in Tom Cruise's RISKY BUSINESS and first fell in love with it! Has been my favorite Porsche til this day! 30yrs later, and that design is flawless and still exotic! Simply gorgeous! Thanks for this!

get a 1986 i like those my self but gts were started in the 90s if you like those tail lights and engine and all the stuff that come with it if you get one of those get it white best color on it trust me
I've got a 1989 myself, and i got to say that it's a very good ride. The design is awesome, and you'll get V8 5l engine with 320 PS. It's not too pricy as well.
I'm thinking of getting those rims, they are 52mm offset in the front, whereas the originals are 65mm, whats the handling like with them , do you get tram lining or dodgy steering over uneven road with them ??
i test drove the 928 auto and the manual.beautiful machine.auto was very fun i prefered the manual ..the 1st gear on the 928 is dwn (like 2nd in most) thn up is 2nd and so on.tht motor sound was pretty nice .i punched it through the geas and put a smile on my face ..try it....even if u gotta test drive one just 2 get 2 it.
Wow someone with a 996 thats wants a 928, I have a 928S4 and one day would like to have a 996, 928 is still the best sounding porsche there is, can't beat the throaty roar of the V8...maybe will keep the 928 too!

That's the problem of all 928 once you change the original rims. I hold on to my originals partly for that reason. I read on the internet a trick to switch it off for good though. It would be useful for many owners.
