@emeraldo they aren't gonna release a second disc format. Ono San said that from here on there gonna be DLC because they have learned from there unhappy fans and customers. They saw that droppin the price by $20 wasn't enough so don't worry about new disc copies for $40. It's all dlc from here on out and let's hope he keeps it that way

@Altar360 u cant be serious. this is what this game is all about. since sf and tekken basically feed off of each other for competition why not have their counterparts go head to head. in the end having lili fight karin or bob fight rufus or hell even ken and ryu fight jin and hwoarong is what is gonna make this game sell. anyone who knows anything about these two franchises would want those counterpart match ups hands down.

@ronedaddy I am dead serious. I rather they be creative with their rivalries. Like instead of Ken vs Hwoarang be rivals cuz they're both the rivals to the heroes, I'd rather it be Sagat vs Hwoarang:

Sagat learned the hard way not to be obsessed with his rivalry, and when he sees Hwoarang following a similar path, he tries to teach him the eror of his ways. Of course Hwoarang being a hot head, Sagat would want to teach him a lesson

@ronedaddy and my bigest argument AGAINST having a roster full of equivalents is so we can have a more varied cast, rather than having half of the cast being two of the same types, why not the more unique characters?

@Altar360 To be fair, I think characters can have counterparts while still being unique. Karin and Lili do indeed have their similarities but when it comes down to the fighting styles, the differences are obvious. Same with Sakura and Asuka..somewhat similar personality traits, very different fighting styles. I think it would be very possible to have both the expected teams and the more obscure or unexpected tag teams in the game

Assuming an update is coming any time soon (I tend to doubt that since they don't wanna compete with the inevitable Tekken vs Street Fighter), but for now, unless the roster is much bigger than expected I personally prefer more unique characters, not necessarily obscure, just unique

@Altar360 Well characters like Q, Twelve, Necro, Urien, and Dragunov are unique, but their problem is that they're all stand-alone characters. They would have no real feasible person to tag with, and they can't just make up random tag teams for the sake of including a character, even if this game isn't canon to either series. Then again the rumor is that the game will have more characters than evern umvc3 so it may just satisfy everyone

With the story reasons being lose or vague wile development reasons are either because of their icon status (i.e. Kaz and nina even though Ana should be Kaz's partner) or because they complement each other in a gameplay perspective (i.e. Rufus being faster thus complementing Zangief's slow speed)

@Altar360 Well also remember that Nina takes any job worth her time so its not too impossible that Nina would be teaming up with Kazuya if he gave her a good enough reason to. Then again, very few details are available regarding the story of this game other than the fact it has alot to do with Pandora. The only two teams I didn't expect to see where Sagat/Dhalsim and Ibuki/Rolento
