I'm going to shave my hair for my mom. I lost her a year ago to cancer. I'm only 14 and I think it will be a better experience to show beauty is not the only thing I am. It was hard for my mom to lose her hair but she ended up loving her head when the hair was gone.

@atwgirl13 : I started with a 1 cm buzzcut :) Because I was to scared to go fully bald. So it was a gradual process for me as well. And before that, it took me months to get me to grow a pair of balls to do it lol.

@jezdamayel : yeah thats a general reaction we have, to react to others opinions about us. And it is not easy to let it go, but with dedication and step by step pushing ourselves, we can. Then you stop yourself from following the reactions, and dont hold yourself to your past but let it go in self forgiveness. Because even when you do feel good about osmething or bad, that doesnt mean you have to accept it to lead your experience or give you direction.
for the longest time, i had always wanted to shave my head, and i finally did it in december 2010,
everyone in my family said i was stupid, but at least i finally did something that i had always wanted and i did it while im young and it can still grow back [very very slowly] still not even to my shoulders. :\
@sunshineeandlove : cool you dared it! My hair grows superfast, like 2cm a month lol. my grandparents really freaked out but you can use the opportunity to stand stable, and not depend on anothers judgements or opinion about who you are and what you do.
I really want to shave my head, the only thing holding me back is the impact it will have on my husband and my son. I would hate for my son to be bullied because of me.

I like girls that stand up for something more, that know that beauty doesn't come from just good looks. But the person inside counts. The idea of new system is tempting but I don't know if it could ever catch on. It suits you, i want to shave my head because i really dont like my hair its soo un evan , some places are short some places are long, but im not going to shave my head until i finish school for obvious reasons, at least it will grow back even, iv got a question do you ever wear wigs? cause i proberly will if i get my head shaved in the future.
@cutewhale1 : nope never worn a wig. Also wigs are pretty expensive, if you want a good one anyway. and if you want hair its much easier to just let yours grow instead of having to buy a wig. Maybe it would be better if you stop with judging your hair first and accept you for who you are, as well as your hair.

I struggled for months with the concept of shaving my hair off. I hated the idea that my hair, was controlling me- my fears-like you said, "I'll lose my beauty-my hair defines me, it completes my whole look-what will others think of me? I'll feel like shit all the time!" I told myself the same thing. One day I just said screw it, and was desperate to feel my hair falling away from my scalp. I couldnt get the razor on my head fast enough. Now i'm walking around a tad more...aware.
hello, no matter what you feel now and look I still see the sadness in your eyes. even when you smile it is still there. you need to find out what that is? changing your appreance is only skin deep.

@snoo333 : Maybe my eyes look sad because I have been sad a lot in my life previously :P. And this is only one of the many things we do. Shaving your hair is a very cool way to face yourself, your fears or attachments and open up. We however do much more than that.

Not a system where only the lucky few can go for their happyness quest while the system deprives the majority. Often its used as a trick as well, for people to be content with their poverty situation so the rich can keep exploiting. Has been used by the catholics in the past.
I did the same thing but for a different reason. Look up Shayna's head shaving and you'll see. Ever since I shaved my head I've felt more confident and I've realized... Hair doesn't matter (: thank you for sharing.

@FarMore17 : belangrijk is dat je werkt aan jezelf te veranderen en langzaam maar zeker zal je dat wel durven. Om sterk te staan en je niet aan te trekken wat anderen daarvan denken. Dat heeft bij mij ook een hele tijd geduurd en soms komt het nog op maar ik heb geleerd daarmee om te gaan. Wat daarbij helpt zijn de tools die desteni delen op hun website (self forgiveness, self honesty...). Als je die voor jezelf gebruikt kan je zo je eigen patronen herkennen en je over je angsten heenzetten.

As human beings we tend to hold on to things that really dont matter, or even sometimes find crutches, whether it be hair, colored contacts, or materialistic things. To many it is a way to escape ourselves or the fit the norms of a society built on vanity and perfection. Although in true honesty nothing is perfect, we tend to strive to meet the needs and approval of others by either changing ourselves or meeting untangible standards.
@ItsAlfieAssassin : self-change is not dependant on the approval of others, because if one does something for others approval, it means that the person is not standing in self-trust and requires others opinion to be or feel a certain way. Which can make the person go into ups and down depending on wether they are approved of or rejected. This is an important pattern for people to realise and stop.
@ItsAlfieAssassin I agree with you, I do think its important to stand in one's self insted of living off of others opinions. I remember for a long time I grew my hair to fit the style of things or fit in the scene. Then i shaved my head and i really had to face myself, my fears, and it made me look inside myself; self-change. It was like shedding and it felt liberating.

After watching the video 'Sharing my experience with shaving my hair' I have noticed that you kept it short but in this video you have completely shaved your head (aka razored it). What was your motivation for this and has there been any reactions from the people around you?
@MegaTimetochange : Yes first I kept it short, it was winter and very cold. Now I let it be totally shaved (didnt have to pay for it btw), by someone who has a special shaver machine. Because I still had a bit of fear of doing that. someone asked me for an eyecatcher campaign so I was like: ok lets do this. My personal motivation is what you can hear me say about it in the videos. And the reactions from people I also say in the video. Lot's of people look lol. Some family like it, some hate it.
@MegaTimetochange : yes, some freak out more lol, and more stares. You can do something like that ;) if I can anyone can. I was very afraid of it, the first time. But you can prove to yourself that you are stronger than your fears.
@SpamAnn You know fuck it. Its time to change this world thus I must change myself. Tomorrow morning I'm going down to the shop to pick up some clippers and removing every single hair off my head. Also from this moment on I will stop shaving my legs and armpits. My beauty is on the inside not the outside.

@SpamAnn I just shaved my head. I just wrote down my my fears on a piece of paper and then wrote why I am doing this (equality, equal money system, to save the world and to face myself). The reasons outweighed my fears. After that it was so easy to just push those clippers though my hair until every single hair was on the floor.
Now I am just looking at my hair and just thinking its just hair not that important. The important thing is the message that I am giving out.

It's ridiculous that girls/women's "beauty" and self-esteem is tied to their hair. It's perceived as weird for women to have a shaved/bald head. It's easier for guys cuz its acceptable for them to have little or no hair. But ya my sis shaved her head a couple summers ago and was like whatever...she got tons of questions and stares but she is confident. :) Great story Ann ;)

hello, no matter what you feel now and look I still see the sadness in your eyes. even when you smile it is still there. you need to find out what that is? changing your appreance is only skin deep.

@snoo333 : Maybe my eyes look sad because I have been sad a lot in my life previously :P. And this is only one of the many things we do. Shaving your hair is a very cool way to face yourself, your fears or attachments and open up. We however do much more than that.

@snoo333 : not when your starving to death and you begin to have serious pains. I want an earth for all being to be happy. Not a system where only the lucky few can go for their happyness quest while the system deprives the majority. Often its used as a trick as well, for people to be content with their poverty situation so the rich can keep exploiting. Has been used by the catholics in the past.

I did the same thing but for a different reason. Look up Shayna's head shaving and you'll see. Ever since I shaved my head I've felt more confident and I've realized... Hair doesn't matter (: thank you for sharing.

im a guy and what you did is very brave, you still are very beautiful without your hair, as a fellow head shaver my family hates it too but it is what we want to look like. its our bodys, and like you say its just hair :o) keep rocking girl!

Maar ik wou ni verder leven als iemand die bang is en zich verstopt en nooit echt ergens voor staat. We zijn allemaal veel te apathisch geworden voor wat er gebeurd in de wereld. Alles gaat kapot terwijl wij in ons comfort kunnen leven. In een systeem wat de hele planeet exploiteerd. En het kan volledig anders, met equal money.

@SpamAnn ja, maar toch. ik merk van mezelf dat ik inderdaad ook de neiging heb om mensen te scannen en zo erachter te komen wat ze denken. nu ben ik nog even in het stadium dat ik dat belangerijk vind, ook al wil ik da helemaal niet. t wordt nog even vechten om daaruit te geraken. t klopt ook zeker dat we allemaal veel te apathisch zijn voor wat er gebeurt buiten onze eigen (redelijk beperkte) leefwereld. er moet iets aan gedaan worden maar zelf durf ik niet de eerste stap zetten..

@FarMore17 : belangrijk is dat je werkt aan jezelf te veranderen en langzaam maar zeker zal je dat wel durven. Om sterk te staan en je niet aan te trekken wat anderen daarvan denken. Dat heeft bij mij ook een hele tijd geduurd en soms komt het nog op maar ik heb geleerd daarmee om te gaan. Wat daarbij helpt zijn de tools die desteni delen op hun website (self forgiveness, self honesty...). Als je die voor jezelf gebruikt kan je zo je eigen patronen herkennen en je over je angsten heenzetten.

As human beings we tend to hold on to things that really dont matter, or even sometimes find crutches, whether it be hair, colored contacts, or materialistic things. To many it is a way to escape ourselves or the fit the norms of a society built on vanity and perfection. Although in true honesty nothing is perfect, we tend to strive to meet the needs and approval of others by either changing ourselves or meeting untangible standards.

@ItsAlfieAssassin : self-change is not dependant on the approval of others, because if one does something for others approval, it means that the person is not standing in self-trust and requires others opinion to be or feel a certain way. Which can make the person go into ups and down depending on wether they are approved of or rejected. This is an important pattern for people to realise and stop.

@ItsAlfieAssassin I agree with you, I do think its important to stand in one's self insted of living off of others opinions. I remember for a long time I grew my hair to fit the style of things or fit in the scene. Then i shaved my head and i really had to face myself, my fears, and it made me look inside myself; self-change. It was like shedding and it felt liberating.

After watching the video 'Sharing my experience with shaving my hair' I have noticed that you kept it short but in this video you have completely shaved your head (aka razored it). What was your motivation for this and has there been any reactions from the people around you?

@MegaTimetochange : Yes first I kept it short, it was winter and very cold. Now I let it be totally shaved (didnt have to pay for it btw), by someone who has a special shaver machine. Because I still had a bit of fear of doing that. someone asked me for an eyecatcher campaign so I was like: ok lets do this. My personal motivation is what you can hear me say about it in the videos. And the reactions from people I also say in the video. Lot's of people look lol. Some family like it, some hate it.

Also from this moment on I will stop shaving my legs and armpits. My beauty is on the inside not the outside.

@SpamAnn I am going to but I plan on doing three vlogs about it. 1 before I shave it all off about why I am doing it. Another being the shave and the last will be my experiences on it.
Even if I am nervous about it I am looking forward to it plus more I look in to the equal money system and Desteni the more I want to be apart of it.

@SpamAnn I just shaved my head. I just wrote down my my fears on a piece of paper and then wrote why I am doing this (equality, equal money system, to save the world and to face myself). The reasons outweighed my fears. After that it was so easy to just push those clippers though my hair until every single hair was on the floor.
Now I am just looking at my hair and just thinking its just hair not that important. The important thing is the message that I am giving out.

Looks great Ann, keep it shaved smooth as possible. I used to have bad dandruff before I shaved as well but now I shave my head everyday I love it , it feels so good and is so much better than having hair that I'm considering getting it removed permanently.

It's ridiculous that girls/women's "beauty" and self-esteem is tied to their hair. It's perceived as weird for women to have a shaved/bald head. It's easier for guys cuz its acceptable for them to have little or no hair. But ya my sis shaved her head a couple summers ago and was like whatever...she got tons of questions and stares but she is confident. :) Great story Ann ;)

En valt te zien hoe koud het is :P Ik denk een 4 tal milimeter zal wel genoeg zijn en misschien in de winter ietsje langer want anders loop ik constant met een hoed hier in belgie en das ook niet de bedoeling. En soms volledig want ik kan het laten scheren voor een blikvangers campagne soms, waar ze modellen voor zoeken. En dan scheert een kapper dat professioneel met zo'n machine.
