now you can get apps on the nook color from a seperate nook color app place thing, and you can put those on the home screen. only downside is, theres barely any selection. maybe 145 choices.

would love to see the Kindle app working on your nook color. Some videos say u can run it but no one shows how it works on a nook. So when u root and have all these apps, u still have access to the nook shop too?

Hey, i was looking through the settings and changed the keyboard to the honeycomb keyboard, now when ever i touch somewhewre to type the keyboard doesnt come up, and when I try to change it back in settings, it goes to the home screen, any help?

Actually on a NC rooted with 2.1 and using launcher pro free version, you can change button icons and make them work. First long tap to pick change icon and pick to use a launchpro icon. Then long tap the new icon to pick swipe gesture and pick launch app. Then swipe *up* on the new icon and the selected app works! A short tap still does nothing. I can't believe it.

Second, with Launcher Pro icons on the bottom, if you tap and hold it, you can change the icon and the action. Worked fine :)

Still having troubles getting Google Earth to work, but it's no biggie.

launcher pro is cool, but I recently found out about Zeam launcher and it's so much better I think for the nook color..looks nicer and since on launcher pro you can not change the dock icons and they don't work except browser and app menu (that kinda sucks). Great vid though! thanks keep em coming

I rooted my nook just like you said on your other video. Then I went straight to market to get some apps and it just keeps saying "starting download"? What should I do? I already rebooted it

HI huskermania :) Launcher pr0 is great but i just stumbled upon Zeam launcher..you might wanna try it to its great!..love the dolphin browser i have it too..but i have a problem..the Youtube Application thats built in when you root it suddenly it stops working!!.. T_T and that application was great cause the video quality is amazing..need help..eventually youtube app stops working need help... THanks

@alfredcua I am having the same problem. Everything else seems to work fine except for youtube. Every time I try to access it it doesnt load and just flashes back to the home screen desktop. Anyone have any advice for this. I tried doing the 8X factory reset and redoing the whole root process, but the problem came back again... Youtube wont load. How to correct this?

@mkearley49 Hi Thanks for the reply. I want to reinstall but I'm not sure how to sideload. I have the "signed_youtube.apk" file and I put this on a microSD, but not sure how to install it from here. I tried using ES file explorer to transfer it to my system/apps folder but it would not transfer or install. Can you explain the basics of sideloading, am i missing some step or do I need to enable ADB somehow?

@medialab109 I use an app called AppInstaller. It will look at your sd card and you can point at the .apk file and install it.

@mkearley49 Awesome! this worked. youtube now works fine in launcherpro and zeam. However, it still doesnt show up under the "home/extras" default nook launcher like it originally did. thats ok though. thanks a lot.

Great Video, Just a question, i JUST got my nook color and i am going to root it using auto nooter, and then install a kernal to overclock. I hear people installing different ROMS, what do they do ? :)
