  • I just picked up my 8 wk old English Springer last Sunday. How soon should I be working on retrieving and so forth?

  • @sokodad Start right away just keep sessions short!

  • Whats a good age to start this also what should be taught first other than the basic commands?

  • How young are the puppies when you typically start training the retrieve?

  • hi there I have a 12 week old weimarainer, I got it from a reputable fesant reserve farm. I got her a week ago but she is extreamly shy and not even acting like a puppie.

Her tail keeps between her legs, it only comes out a bit when she is in the field.

she comes when I call but stops short of two feet from me and is scared or something of coming in closer.

I want to start training but don't know were to bigin as she just doesen't respond as i have seen the puppys in your videos.

    PLEASE HELP ME

  • Great series of training videos.

  • Are you saying a command when you release the dog to fetch the toy?

  • WillhoiteT

We are actually saying his name "Rooster". We use this to release the dog so that we can control which dog leaves in a multiple dog hunting situation. Thanks for the comment and let us know if you have more questions!

  • This movie is awesome... can't wait to see more!
