no Extinguishers at a fueling station? I would think that would be criminal neglect for the safety of everyone involved! Just think what could have happened to the people who were not aware. Litigate!!!!
@nitro169169 well idk if he could anyways...pretty much when a sled catches fire..its toast.. it would take a long time to be able to fix it..tons of electrical...fuel lines...coils..just would need a ton of parts. that would fricken suck.. i would be sooo pissed!!
well that sucks, hopefully iron dog does something to make it up, i've had to put my sled out on fire once and my cousins also, both times had to use extinguishers, all the snow everybody was throwing both times didn't do nothing, luckily we got em out fast enough though cuz there was no damage on either sled... sorry to see all your guys hard work go down the drain, man seems since they screwed up they would have let u fix it off the clock with help from others or free entry next year atleast
The reason there should be an entry fee or some kind of restitution is because iron dog failed to provide fire extinguishers that could of put the fire out in time to prevent so much damage. That part wasn't an accident because accidents are avoidable. Not having a fire extinguisher on hand was avoidable.
I agree Fire extinguishers need to be everywhere, Also they should have them shut the machines off. And Not oil them at the same timet hey are gassing up. Less chance of Gas getting spilled on the engine or muffler. I don't agree with free entry, this could happen to anyone even if they were allowed to gas themselves.
That should be mandatory (fire extinguishers ) at every fuel stop , along with a mandatory workshop for all racers and volunteers on how to use them ... and what's up with no shut off nozzle on the hoses ? ..( got to love how @ 32 seconds the one hose tossed on the ground makes a nice little pool of gas) I really feel for that team . A totally avoidable situation .
