i was there back in 2004 when this ried opended for the first time and the lien for it was bad and it still is today almoust a 2 and half hour wait for this ride but i ride it every time i go and i wet back in 2009 and i am going to carowinds july 11 2011

I love how people scream when they flip over and see the ground... I love this ride except for the loop because I felt like i was about to slam into the ground.... But I LOVED IT!!!!!

My favorite rollercoaster at Carowinds, and I do rate it as Carowinds' best. Haven't ridden the Intimidator yet, and I'm not heavily impressed by it. Just because a coaster is tall and fast, doesn't make it a great coaster. There are many more features to a great coaster, then just height and speed, and Nighthawk definitely has the best features of all the coasters at Carowinds. I wish they would bring back White Lightnin'--that was the best coaster at Carowinds back in the day.

@TheOctopus500 Intimidator has the speed of 80 mph and it's 232 ft tall. You obviously don'y know if youre heavily impressed by it until you ride it. You dont know. It is the best rollercoaster I've ever been on. It's very intense, especially in the back row since you go down very fast. I'm very impressed overall. It really makes you feel like you're driving a race-car. It is amazing! You go up and down such exhilarating hills over and over, and it makes you very happy. You should ride it first.

This is by far the best ride at Carowinds imo. Beware: it really jerks you around and it gave me a huge headache, but it was worth it. We went last Sunday for Scarowinds and this was the only ride there was a wait for, but it was only 15 minutes.

@hyperskittles78 For some people with sesitive stomachs, it may irritate you, and make you become sick, but I believe that's pretty rare in this case, since it's only a rollercoaster. Not for me, though, no.

I don't get why people say this ride is bumpy... the only one that really thrashes you around in a bumpy manner is Runaway Reptar (or of course, the wooden coasters). It's actually pretty smooth, or at least it was today.
