  • Wow Pablito makes great elemental tips I forget sometimes

  • What's up with the techno music now?

  • is that kind of control also good for gi or is it no gi only?

  • @flexcuts either one bud

  • Incoming static 2:17

  • Wouldn't this be bad to do though in mma or a street fight where the guy can throw punches?

  • @poolboyinla Do you even do Jiu Jitsu?

  • @poolboyinla Yes, exercising control over your opponent is bad in MMA and in the street...

  • @poolboyinla not if your controling his arm and posture.. while being able to attack from the bottom with the space created..

  • @carlsongracieteam It seems like his right arm would be free to punch in this position.

  • @poolboyinla it would be but if you were controlling his posture, while rocking his base he would not be doing much damage from this position.

big nog used a similar position to this a lot in mma.

  • @carlsongracieteam It seemed big Nog took a lot of damage on bottom before pulling off those submissions though. I don't want my face to look like his.

  • @poolboyinla big nog never took damage from this position that was his full guard, listen if you don't want to use it then don't. Jesus christ.

  • @carlsongracieteam I am just asking questions. Whats wrong with that? Aren't students supposed to ask questions?

  • @poolboyinla Don't bother with them of course you can ask a million questions to get better and you're right not all BJJ positions are ideal for MMA simply because of the striking involved. Use what works from wrestling, Muay Thai and BJJ for example or any other martial arts combination for the situation and good luck. And by the way you're gonna get hit and busted in MMA no matter what, my friend and coach tells me it gives me character : )

  • awesome. it's one of those cases in bjj where what you are actually supposed to do is not what you intuitively want to do. great vid

  • is that Cyborg on top?

  • @EvanChaim looks like him... Also has a big "Cyborg" tattooed on his left forearm.

  • @uhumn and at the end of the video popovitch says cyborg :)

  • Good video. Foundational details like this are so important, but not many videos point them out.
