Yes!!! I was there for this!!!! I am from Detroit but live in Chicago. I got tix for my mom and I. She drove from Detroit to the Chi to see Miss Anita!! WE HAD A BLAST! Mom was sooo surprised that I know all of Anita's songs since I am only 30. I didnt learn them yesterday. mom played Anita 24/7 when I was young. Chidren are sponges!!! BOMB CONCERT!!!!!
We need all of the R&B singers, musicians and song writers from the 80's and 90's to step up their game and give us some real music because the music that's on the radio is garbage, all of it. I'm from Detroit and I remember my uncle use to date Anita Baker when she was with chapter 8, he said she was a good kisser but she was really into her music and the relationship fell apart. Me personnally, I would have stayed with her through those early years. Danm Uncle!
