Wonderfully sensitive! The lutenist is, I think, Hermann Leeb, playing a surprisingly historical-sounding lute (listen for the 8ve stringing of the lower courses).
@JoelvanLennep Yes, it is Hermann Leeb; Westminster Hi-Fi-, XWN 18776. Not sure of the publication date, but I bought the LP around 1961, about 50 years ago, so I would guess someplace aound '59, or '60. I've pretty much played the grooves off it!
May our Lord keep him with that divine shine in his still young eyes. It is a sweet interpretation that speaks of a talented and sensitive artist. I will keep his voice and eyes here close to my mind, in order to keep inspiring me. Thanks for posting Hugues Cuenod!!!Bravo!!!
@dantitustimshu His age is almost inconceivable. In his youth, he attended a party given for Camille Saint-Saens, met him and heard him play the piano. Simply unbelievable.

Delightful to know he is still very much with us and still as sprightly as ever. Happy birthday and all best wishes to a great artist.
