  • are micrantenum and glosso planted in the foreground together?? is rotala back wood?

i wont know in which way u plant this acquario, because i wont to try to do this in my tank:)))

    sorry for my english :)))

  • how many hours of ligth at the start of acqaurium at day??

    tnx!!

    how is substrate??

  • cool!!!

  • Dude how do you reply to me but I can't see them on the page?

Anyways he probably suggested eco complete because of it's ability to convey oxygen to the roots. I heard that true aquatic plants (non emergeable) don't need oxygen to the roots but I doubt that's true. I know water flow to the roots is beneficial to all plants to prevent rot.

Eco Complete = Expensive granite. If u find a cheap source 4 granite then u can just add nutrients to the water.

You should add a big wood/rock tho man!

  • I can't see your reply but I read it in my inbox. If you heard not to disturb your substrate you should question that. There's no reason not to but there are reasons to do it. Replanting plants and giving them a chance to reroot gives them a purpose to live for. I've heard all aquatic plants die after a few years. The person who told me this was a school boy and I don't know where he heard this. What I know for sure though is that oxygenating your substrate is good and moving it does this

  • Yeah, that looks great! I'm also curious about the substrate. Whenever I try to get a plant to blanked my tank floor, it never seems able to reach over larger gravel. Did you use something fine like sand?

  • what kind of plant? this guy's got vertical growing plants which means they won't carpet unless you prune and replant. My rule is I never start a netted pot with more than 6 cuttings. I usually wind up with like just under 20 grow leads when the plant starts to get ugly so I can make about 3 new pots out of each one. I don't like the idea of carpetting plants because to me it looks nicer to have some unusual rocks and stones in my tank too... click my name to see my tank!

  • Thanks for the info. I have tried getting something like dwarf hairgrass to blanket my aquarium but I haven't been met with success yet. This is both due to having only setup two tanks so far and only one with an "Eco complete" substrate.

The video poster sent me some details on the substrate, and I'll likely employ the same tactics when I plant my new 70 gallon tank.

  • nice, what substrate did you use?
