  • I left Georgetown on March 7, 1970, at 10 years of age...arriving in Toronto, Ontario at midnight. As a youngster, I often wondered why my family left Guyana. Time has allowed me to become a Canadian with Guyanese roots. And though it's been 40 years...some of the images in this video brings back great vivid memories of a time long past. As Dave Martin sung "...I remember moonlight...~~~...long time ago, in Guyana..."
