He was probably intentionally aiming for the angled part of the pan, since it would be the thickest area for the bullet to penetrate... sort of like a glacis plate on a tank.

Why does everyone think that the AK is so inaccurate? I do shoot 12 inch steel plates at 120 meters with an AK, and it can go beyond easily. At 100 meters I shoot dinner plate sized steel. There is so much hoarse shit when it comes to people talking about the inaccuracy of the AK 47 platformed rifle.
