i should not have to use speakers , i would have to buy them as i dont have them as my pc and laptop othhave intergrated sound systems , YOUR PAGE IS A CLASSIC CASE OF FALSE ADVERTISING , HARDLY FREE IS IT IF I HAVE TO BUY SOMETHING !!!!
can i plug the vga from the computer, to the back of a sky box, which is connected by scart to the tv? would that work? its just my tv is old and hasnt got the necessary ports.
This is obiously some person who knows nothing. Because he/she said it had to be plasma, and you have to use a vga cable. And if you want a free vga cable, then i would suggest going to someone who has a broken desktop, and steal their monitor cable.
i have connected my pc to tv but when i watch youtube videos in full screen mode it doesnt show unless , its a black screen, anyone had the same problem?? please help
back in may of this year i got this email saying reduce your monthly cable costs
save money turn your pc into a cable box i was real short on funds so i clicked the link i only paid 2.99 to download this program that changed my life by saving me a hell of a lot of cash just hook your pc or laptop up to your flat screen tv.... heres the link guys/// webvrc.webs.com enjoy
LOL most people have HD tv's now, and they have HD graphics cards these days aswell, so you could just connect your graphics card to your tv with HDMI!
@13yosuf What OS are you trying to connect to your TV? In this cade maybe you should try to get a vga to hdmi cable and use that...it makes for a lot better quality too :)
That's why I loved my WebTv...computer, video camera, mic, vcr, sattelite and dvd all hooked up with coaxel and rca jacks in seconds. PROBLEM: You couldn't watch streaming video on webtv. lol
@TheHappyWhaleshark Most computers come with VGI cables and as it says in the title 'how to connect your PC to your tv for free' does not say anything about laptops!
i connected my pc tp LCD using the VGA wire. although i am getting the display but not the correct color display. like the whole tv now shows somewhat dark color say green instead of correct color of win xp, any idea why ?
Thanks for the tutorial but I'm still having problems and hope you can help me. I have a 37" Sharp Aquos TV that has a PC input port (VGA) and my Windows XP computer. I checked the TV manual for the correct settings, checked the monitor display properties and everything matches up but nothing happens on the TV- the input 6 (the PC input) doesn't come up. I don't have an HDMI port on my computer so I can't do it that way. Thank you
@JoelleBrooke1 You may want to try more than one vga cable as the problem may be that the wires inside the cable have snapped which happened to me so i had to buy another one.
Hey this is using VGA which doesn't apply to HD TV's. It all depends on what's coming out of your computer. Some computers have an HDMI out to go to your hi def computer. Others have only VGA out, in which case you would use a VGA to HDMI converter. Still others have a DVI out, for which you would use a DVI to HDMI converter. Sure some HD TV's have a VGA in but that's not HD. Get it straight folks. Everybody making one of these videos base it upon their own computer and make people spend more.
You would need another cable for that but i recommend using external speakers for increased volume, i also have a video on how to set up external speakers....view that too!
song please?

Why would you have to pay for it other then the cost of the cable? I use HDMI out on my computer.
