@florencelovme Join ASTA It is a great sail training organization, I am a member and it can open that door for you. Their are many tall ship races around the world you on apply for a crew. 1st Volunteer on a tall ship, do some grunt work, when it comes time for a sail you might get your chance. Do it you will never regret it, I have sailed on tall ships of all classes for nearly 20 years.. Best of Luck...

Ship at the begining was the Pride of Baltimore 2. Nice ship, and VERY fast!

@TastyColoda134 Sorry the rig is not right "Pride" has no spars on the main mast Her fore is not correct either. I sailed on the "Pride" She is fast like the "Californian"

join the coast guard and work on the coast guards tall ship barque eagle...

its actually not as fun as it looks. i was aboard the eagle for awhile and the tasks get pretty tedious

depends where you are in the world

save some money go aboard a training ship as ordinary crew for a fortnight eg. Lord Nelson or Prince William and see if you like it

and know that the bigger ones are ships and not boats.
