  • beautiful and very clever dog :-)

    congratulations :D

  • Gorgeous dogs. My border collie gets to the top of the A frame and lies down lol, he's afraid of heights. He'll climb it cause you ask him to but he freezes at the top. The weave doesn't go so well either, he just runs into the poles. He was originally a herder since retired. God bless his heart he's my best friend but he isn't the brightest bulb in the box.

  • Wow! Beautiful and graceful mover, the devotion, ....just wow. Fantastic bond, and it shows big time.

  • oh wow! i'm a 13 year old and i have a terrier, i've just got an 11 month black lab, hoping to be amazing like that, especially at agility! you must be so proud, and commited! my friend is amazing, she'll hopefully guide me into being like that! lovely video

  • What a woderful team - Tia and you!!!

  • Beautiful, Brought a tear to my eye,,, <3

  • wow, this is incredible, i almost cried. your dog loves you so much, it's unbelievable.

  • shes a beauty

  • Border Collies are intelligent breed. Jon Katz say so.

  • @brightmeadow1375 Jon Katz and many others ;)

  • hmmm.. A well trained dog. Myself is a dog trainer in my country & can say that this dog is awesome. But I like to see dogs in attack training. Tia is a brilliant dog that can not be used in attack. So better have a Mastiff next time ;)

  • Congratulations....I hope my dreams come true soon....:-)

  • A wonderful dog and congratulations.

  • Great work!!! Awesome vid! Congrats

  • So cool. Fun to watch. I guess it's much more fun to be doing it... For sure. Great stuff.

  • You really must have nerves of steel. My neighbor has a pair of Border Collie crosses that are the farthest thing from 'barest speck of obedient' I have ever seen.

Amazing video and incredible dog! Keep up the good work, you have some serious talent :D

  • So touching, truly an inspriation <3

  • Great Job both of you worked hard and it showed!

  • You brought tears to my eyes! WOW!!!!!!!!

  • wonderful vid & dogs. congratulations! :)

  • Congratulations!

    Tia is wonderful xxx

  • that does help inspire me! thanx and well done!

  • BC's Rule!

  • The only slight glitch I see, is the way you hold your hand when heeling, or at least in Finland you basically have to have your arms relaxed at your sides or points are deducted, as to not give any body signals to the dog. But other than that.. wow. I just wish me and my bc we'll actually get to that level sometime. But we've got time, seeing as he's just a year and two months old.

  • you guys are incredible!!!!

my dog is so obsosed with sniffing the ground that even when i tried that, she wasn't paying attention

  • Amazing dog !

  • Your Amazing And So Is Tia You And Her Are The Best So far That Ive Seen!! ;O *.* ;)

  • My favorite! Go Tia go :o) Everytime nice to see, everytime tears in my eys

  • cracking round. What a great scent as well. Well Done

  • Ive watched this video many times, and it is one of my favorite videos on youtube. Not only is is a great video to honar your hard work and acheivements with Tia, it is an inspirational video to everyone, even if you are not a dog trainer. It brings me to tears everytime, thank you so much for all your hard work, dedication, and spirit.

  • I love this video!

You brought tears to my eyes when they said you'd won!

And you've made me really dytermined to really really try to aim for greatness in agility... even if it looks unreachable.

    :)

  • danke für dein video=) ehrlich und unglaublich gut

  • this is pretty cool

  • Very cool. Beautiful dog and clearly excellent relationship. Never seen an obedience competition before... Could you tell me what was the dog doing/supposed to do with the cross of white frisbees on the ground? Thanks.

  • 4evergus, those are scent articles. They put scent on one of them and the dog has to find and retrieve the one with the scent.

In AKC competition, the scent articles are little dumbells and the ring steward or judge puts them out usually in a circle as if you had thrown them up in the air and let them lay where they landed. Does that make sense? lol

  • Thanks so much for the explanation of what that was. That's really cool that on top of all the other things these dogs can do, that they also are able to scent like that. My bulldog loves food but at times is unable to smell the food tossed right in front of her, much less something so subtle. Wow!

  • cooool ;))))))

  • love the video i really do i will start my club of agility here in my city i love dogs and i think they are key to a better place in this world

    Cheers!!!

  • This is a joy to watch, my favorite dogs doing their stuff.

    Bravo

  • what a great dog, and inspirational words

  • What a pretty video.

It's also desribes Border Collies very well. They're very special dogs,(I have two) who is not for everyone, but with the right owner-BC are the best!

  • Brilliant video and dog you should be proud,

I can imagine a lot of hours and hard work to get the end result.

  • Very good video and great dog!

  • Made me tear up. =] You two are very inspirational.

  • Gorgeous. You & Tia keep inspiring me to get a bc, because afterall, they're the one & only for dog sports. You've made me quite determined to try out obedience when I get mine! Along with agility, frisbee & herding. (:

I'm getting my first bc (& first dog ever, although I have done my homework (; ) this summer.

  • Wow you've done a fantastic job with Tia. :) I loved your video. It's very inspiring!

  • Thank you for this video! I have a border collie that is amazing, frustrating, super smart, but a total challenge and I really needed to see your video. I have been training him with positive methods and sometimes I feel we take 1 step forward and 2 steps back. I am convinced that he will be a champion and I will never give up on that dream. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR VIDEO!

  • What a fantastic, inspiring video! Your Tia is amazing! My BC does agility & flyball but we are no-where near that level yet! If we got half as good as you and Tia i would be amazingly proud! :-)

  • Positive training works. It works better than anything else. Yolu never have to pull their heads up.

    Chase that dream!

  • Super video & lovely dog

  • HOW many views????? Biatch!!! LOL.........xx

  • also i dont rally understand do you just pull her head up using a lead ? xx :)

  • No I dont use a lead in my training and I definintely wouldnt pull her head up at all!!! I want my dogs to enjoy it not be forced to do it :) I do lots of work with her toy and clicker training, teach a hand touch first with the dog at arms length then gradually bring it in. Its very hard to explain on here!! x

  • She didn't pull her head up with the leash, she had a toy, and the dog was tugging on it. =)

  • @tavebabe998 That was AMAZING!! well done... enjoy your dream as it has become your reality!

  • oh i got your comment thnx !X :)

  • i can see you havnt replied to anyone else but i thought i would try :) how do you get her to pick her feet up like that? x please reply.

  • to get my dog to do that i try to get her in a nice fast pace i can keep to with out herr running and i have her hold her head up. if you tia holds her head up which mean she picks her feet up. well thats what i do with my dog anyway!

  • That is adorable!! Well done!!! :):)

Tia is an amazing looking dog!!

  • My Congratulations! We don't know when our dreams come true... so I hope I can win like you in my future! You have really great dog.

  • Bravissima e bellissima!Congratulations ;-)

  • so touching. I hope for my dreams to come true... so thank you

  • col

  • this makes me cry somtimes becuse i see part of my dog in Tia... my dog (Trixie) has a tumer but we are hoping for the best, i plan to do agility with Trixie in january. keep up the good work with Tia!

  • Those dogs that have been trained that much, sometimes look very unhappy and kinda like robots. Your dog just look so happy and full of love. I believe you are a very good trainer, when you can combine the two things. So RESPEKT! for you (i have a border collie my self, and i know they can be difficult. But once you gained their trust, its all worth it.) :-)

(Sorry if my english is wrong... I live in denmark, and i'm only 15)

  • I love the pic at 4:28!! How old is Tia?

  • Great dog and i can see the bond you have with Tia! Im sure this video will serve as a source of inspiration to all viwers and to never give up on your dreams! Congrats on your win:)

  • What a wonderful story. I am sure it takes some time for many owners to warm up to a new or strange dog, so thanks for setting such a great example. A great video and great dog and handler!

  • Congrats!

I train working stock (herding) dogs for ue on sheep and cattle farms, and i know how difficult it can be if you can't bond with a dog. You're an inspiration.

  • congrats, did u use positive negative or both reinfoceents for training?

  • Thx, positive training, using both treats and toy :o)

  • im sorry i find it hard to believe that you have used nothing but positive reinforcement but hey... im glad u won. congrats.

  • CONGRATULATION!!!

  • Wow,thats one truely amazeing dog!

Congratulations for winning, you and your dog deserved it!

  • It's very nice this video...the dog is terrific!

  • AB FAB.Supurb, well done, there's a lot of work there.I run our BC in agility and my partner does the obedience with(Max).Last outing max won the Scottish Kennel Club beginners obedience 1st attempt so we know how much work is involved. We really appreciate and could not have done it without the help of our club and trainers.Good luck 4 the future.

  • Very, very good!!!

  • this is such an amazing story i have wanted a border for years but i am ending up with a belgian malinois which would be my 3rd choice in a dog - but how you guys overcame what may not have been a perfect situation makes me feel really good about this puppy... and our agility future!!

  • Thanks, hope your Mali is doing well, I would love one of them one day, but not yet, they are too crazy for me at the moment!

  • Absoloutly Brilliant,i felt like cryin wen you one aww well done :)

I need to get my whippet poppy to do training wens shes aloud outside =]

  • genial se border

  • What a beautiful dog, congrats on winning the crufts. You did a wonderful job!

  • Very well done. Here in the U.S. points would have been taken off because your dog is "crowding" you. You aren't allowed to touch your dog, and your dog can't touch you.

  • Thx. Here in the uk you lose points every time the dog drifts off your leg :o)
