You are the only one i have seen run a 4 barrel Holly Carb on your derby car, I also run a 4 barrel Holly on my cars i think it helps to keep the car from vapor locking.
Are the motors typically reusable after a derby? Going to the Demo derby tomorrow night here in Tulare County..Can't wait... That's the way we end our county fair :D
@scott93257 Best way to end a fair!! Yes, most of the time they are fine. A lot of guys invest a lot of $ into building a nice derby motor to use over and over.
@jwgreathouse Never been an issue. Oddly enough, the only distributors that I've seen break in a derby are the rear locations b/c fenders get pushed up in there.
@StreetExecutives21 Unless its a Cleveland. #1 choice motor used in NHRA back when it came out. Used for something like 7 years AFTER the end of its production. Only reason they stopped using them is because of replacement parts becoming scarce after the end of its production. Well, that and they started to make mountain motors ;-)
