I do use your hairline cream, oil and repair shampoo. Works great. However your products are a bit pricy and the bottles are so small. It has nothing to do with color. Genes but not color. Light skinned girls can have short hair. Dark skinned girls can have long hair down their bottom. My hair can grow long without any effort on my part and I am dark.

As a black man who likes to see black women take care of themselves I think Shima is helping them learn how to care for their hair whether it be long short or natural. Her focus is geared towards long hair, but her hair care regime applies to all women with afro hair. She's not obsessed. She washes and conditions it weekly, Uses no heat, oils and combs it daily. Is'nt this something that everyone with afro hair should do on a regular basis.

I find that I inherited her hair. My mom's is long but her strands are thicker while mines are fine and fragile, and don't hold styles well overnight. My new goal is to achieve more length, but every time i get frustrated and get a haircut like last summer (bob) and i never let it get past bsl. I'm definitely subscribing, so i can get some more tips. My hair is definitely thirsty for moisture right now (as always). Thanks!
This brings back memories of playing in my grandmother's hair...it's about the same lngth and texture as yours...waist length/ relaxed. She almost never manipulated her hair, and wore it in long plaits (usually four to six) or buns for up to a week. She had it washed about every two weeks, and relaxed on avg every three months...all by her neice who's a hairdresser. She followed this routine religiously for decades, but can't today bcause she moved frm nyc 2 atl, so i dnt know what she does now.

you have a good excuse to risk getting a relaxer because your hair is already long enough to take the chemicals. plus most relaxers dont do well with other womens hair. like the relaxer you got Shima works well with your hair but not well with others.

so i see you have just moisturised the ends more but i do that but then when i put my hair up in the doughnut bun i leave it in for aweek and then when i take it out the ends seem frisszy when i moisturised my ends
i do the same thing. do you do it every day? I do mines everyday because, depending on your hair, the hair can soak up the moisture that you put on it. So i usually put it on in the morning and at nite. before i go to bed.
I have the cap too and usually it stays put unless Im sleeping wild lol. What you could do is tie a scarf around the cap and see if that helps...Ive had to do it a couple times.

i do the same thing. do you do it every day? I do mines everyday because, depending on your hair, the hair can soak up the moisture that you put on it. So i usually put it on in the morning and at nite. before i go to bed.

I have the cap too and usually it stays put unless Im sleeping wild lol. What you could do is tie a scarf around the cap and see if that helps...Ive had to do it a couple times.

have you tried turning it inside out..that way the seams inside wont snag on your hair or leave marks...i do that with all my bonnets/sleeping caps..

so u don't have to use a different moisturizer and then use the oil to seal it in? u just need the oil for the hair?
is there a way i can get ingredients? i am interested in your hair oil i just like to look up things before i buy...
