I was so privileged to hear her in Albuquerque two days ago. I'm ashamed to admit I had never heard of her during her long career. But better late than never. I often wonder how some people get to be wildly famous when some people with greater talent do not. (I also probably "should" not be secretly glad she isn't wildly famous so that I was able to see her in a small intimate venue and sit on the third row. I am unworthy. :0>) She is amazing.
Cheryl has a way of taking you to places that you have never been before through her music. She is an awesome singer/songwriter, that I have had the privilege of open for years ago. She makes it seem so easy to be on that stage and to make you laugh so hard. Cheryl is a true entertainer. If you ever get the chance to see her live, do it. Thanks for the laughter and the tears. God Bless Chrissy
I first heard this while making a long drive on a grey and cold Thanksgiving afernoon 10 or so years ago, and Cheryl was on for an entire half hour on All Things Considered, and this is one of the songs she sang. I could barely keep driving with the tears in my eyes.
Wow...I've never been the first to comment before. I love this song. I'd never heard of Cheryl Wheeler until I got this song on a Pandora station I have. This is a beautiful break up song.
Your music makes my heart sing. Thanks
Chrissy

She has one of the most unique and beautiful voices in the world. I wish she would come to Pittsburgh sometime so I could hear her live.
