@oneleg5 in realism mode you can't see your mate trough walls ( even when they are cought by specials zombies). The witch kills you if you disturb her and you don't see guns as far as in the normal mode. it's almost everything. ( and VS mode in realism is the best btw )

The tank can break down the safe house/room door but only if you're in expert mode. It might be able to in advanced and normal but I'm not sure. It can't in easy though which is why that is the ONLY (at least I think unless you're just awesome like that) way to get the acheviment.

Or you can do the parish finale, kill your bots, melee the tank once, then get on the chopper. It registers as "dead" once the chopper takes off.

I can confirm this.

Start on Expert, if you hear the Tank growling in that room kill off your bots. Make sure you have a melee weapon and then switch to Easy. Activate the Tank and then run back to the safe room and close the door.

IMPORTANT: You need to wedge yourself against the door like in the video. If you don't it'll break the door and rape you.

For some strange reason it tries to hit you through the door but won't be able to. Took it down with a cricket bat and got the archi.

Srs I played it, even standing pressed against the safe room door, ever level, he busted it down. even the add on levels like the passing and the sacrifice. eventually i got it with my bf. He helped and we axed it to death IN the safe room on swamp fever. quite fun and challenging but the patch is fully patched, theres no loopholes anymore

Got it on Last Man on Earth, the bridge finale. Tank spawned, whacked it with a tonfa once and hightailed it to the chopper. Because you only hit it with a melee weapon and everything dies at the end, the game lets you have the achievement.

i did tank burger with the mutation this week "chainsaw masscure" its easy cuz infinite gas for chainsaws and thew bots distract it :3 another way is wait for the tank to pund his chest and then kill him with the chainsaw note! this only works with a chainsaw (if your a mega good l4d2 player it works but if your new do it with a chainsaw)

@couray1 Its been hotfixed, this video is four months old. Tanks break down doors and it takes 20 hits with a melee weapon to kill the tank. It takes 8 seconds to kill him with the chainsaw.

Oh, and I just found out that the Tank can ONLY break through the starting door if you take the bar off.

Meaning, you have to noclip out of there, trigger the tank, go back into the saferoom, LEAVE the bar on the door, turn noclip off, and turn sv_cheats to 0.

Another good way to get the Tank Burger achievement is at the Bridge finale. Ditch your teammates (w/e, bots?) And make it to the chopper first. Heal yourself, and make sure the difficulty is on Easy. When the tank walks in, hit him with your melee weapon and because he thinks that his punches send you off the ramp, he taunts as if he just killed someone when he hits you, so just start swinging away at him. Pills will help. Louis's method. XD And nice, this works too.

You have to kick all the bots from the game, something that can only be done with the PC version, or you can just switch to expert and kill them, then switch to easy.

Also, incase you haven't noticed already, the Tank CAN break down the saferoom door at the start of a level.

Even if he just walks into it it will disappear, leaving him to butt rape you.

You can start with bots if you are worried about special infected. Then when you spot a tank, pause the game (assuming you are playing in single player mode) and kick the bots out (or kill them). Then head to the saferoom in the beginning and kill the tank with a melee weapon.

It shouldn't matter what stage you do it on, as long as the stage is known to spawn at least one tank most of the time.

Sometimes the saferoom trick doesn't work since the tank can bust the door down. He can only do so by punching it or throwing a rock. If you see him throwing a rock, you should move to a spot that's not in front of the door so that the rock doesn't break the door down.

In the video, I think I was lucky that he didn't punch the door down.
