test pipe the cat, dont have to worry about 02 sensor, high flow muffler, cut before tires with shorty headers and maybe even upgrade the y pipe. Nice truck. check mine out. I have done the said above so gives an idea of tone.
one of my trucks is a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 extended cab Sport edition with dual exhaust and a 5.7 liter v8 Hemi and it sounds exactly like that with all stock parts except a few.

ok before i prove a random point i would like to say chop it off right where they y and drive around see if ya dont piss someone off ...ok my point ur truck will run with out aint o2 sensors yes you will loose about 10 mpg but who cares its a v8 i got striaghts right now dumped right behind the cab
I have the same exact truck, and i want that sound! So all you did was take the cat and the muffler out and you still have the pipes goin back or is it just straight out of the manifolds?
@JakeWeb93 ......i have a 95 wit a mid rise intake cold air and rejettd the carb flowin thro a single 24inch glass pack exiting just before the rite rear sounds awsome on 35 in bfg all terr lights em rite into 2nd ..........DODGE RULZ...MOPAR ALL DA WAY
@JakeWeb93 This truck sounds exactly like mine, but i have a full header back performance exhaust system, mine is a 95 and a 360 engine....might pay a lot for a full system, but funny as hell when a cop tries to say its illegal......

I just recently bought 1 95 ram but i cant to this the stock breaks are not strong enough to hold the stroker engine lol

* O2 sensor is in/ near the cat, not in the muffler.

the only thing i did is get the muffler cut off and put a straight pipe to replace it and i still have cat on their everything else is stock
