this episode was awesome man... you covered MOST of the stuff that happened in the past few weeks and you also covered it without cuts. IT went off very well. I enjoyed listening to it very much. I want to start something like this myself and i want to get on the right track since i think this game is getting better... even though people conplain a lot bout the flippy format... i dont mind it. You can play around it just with your deck skills. but we will see. Great vid as always!

Another very informative vid! I'm quite interested in other ideas for starters that you might have had. I know there's the babies that have been discussed, but I've been using Stantler, and I know a few other people that swear by either other pokemon like Manaphy or FarFetch'd. What other Pokemon do you think would be viable starters for this set?

Also an fun idea would be to randomly challenge some of your fans to a redshark game or the new pokemon online game. You could even probably turn it into a segment. I think it would be a cool way to interact with fans, plus let them see what it really means to play at a high level. I dont know if theres any programs out there that will let you record the matches but it I bet it would get really popular. Keep track of your record too!!!

Hey wittz why you apologizing so much on this episode? Do you really think it went bad? The only bad thing about this one was you apologizing so much...but anyway I think what your doing is great I wouldnt mind seeing episodes like this as long as its easier on you. But on another note if your looking to change things up you should really check out mrorangeguy or channelfireball. I know they are Magic shows but they are two very successful and entertaining shows and maybe you'll like what u see.

Love your videos. I was wondering if u can make a card of the day with Lanturn and Crobat Prime. Laturn can one shot donphan, yanmega , reshi etc. Crobat i think would have potential because of the high retreat cost everyone has and it can snipe or poision the babys. Also go to love no retreat cost on crobat. The only problem is yanmega for crobat that i can think of.

Would love to see you test out Donphan/Reshiram/Zekrom/Reunic­lus;) IF I lived in the US, this is absolutely the deck that I would have run! Virtually nothing OHKOs Donphan, meaning that you'll easily be able of powering up for a nasty outrage, be it from 'ram or 'rom;) This gives you a fast deck that has the ability of hitting for 3 different weaknesses, and that doesn't give away too many easy prizes to your opponent;)

isnt the format only varied because it is still in its start up phase, once its going on for a bit longer i expect it will becaome a lot less varied because people will know how to build the decks in the best ways and will know which decks arent that good

You don't need Ninetails in Reshiboar. You're just discarding more energy that you need to get with Fisherman and Retrieval. I've found that a simple 1-1-1 Magnezone works fine. I also run a lot of shuffle/draw cards (Judge, Juniper, PONT, etc.). If you don't have the Magnezone, you can run a couple Shuckle Promos and Seekers instead.

It's funy, Zkerom's greatest stregnth is actually that it doesnt suffer going second, while you just hyped it going first. In this format, evolving 1st is game winning, unless like Zkerom, you dont need to evolve.

I'm more of a competitive Pokemon battler myself, I don't really play the TCG much. There's a web magazine out there called the Smog, and they once had a cool article with lots of cards that showed how the TCG has more flavor, highlighting cards like Forretress 3/90 and its move "Everyone Explode Now". A less-serious show like that would be great.

@TheJWittz Well, for the record, you're not the only Poketuber I watch on the YouTube. A couple have had Skype tournaments in the past. If you're aware of a British 'tuber named PokemanDan had one back in the spring before BW rules wreaked havoc of everything, and I competed in it. Just something to think about for the future (probably a post-worlds tournament for that lull between the EP release & Autumn Battle Roads?)

I'm an awful player. My decks aren't bad by any means, it's just that I always slip up and misplay stuff. Never top-cutted or won a single tourney (been to one states, two nats- both terrible results). I reckon it's down to my bad shuffling.

I'm a very competitive player but I've never been able to win a tournament or even top cut for that matter =( This is my worst season playing despite not being able to go to any HGSS-on tournaments (the last one I went to was battle roads a few months ago.) I go to league almost every thursday but I only have a few other competitive players to test against there, other than that I have to battle my self. I think your battle videos would help me alot!

On a serious note a couple things you missed.

Zekrom managed to win Mexico nationals aswell. (I'm not really sure why you didn't mention mexico's results at all?)

A couple of Canadian players who ran Magnezone Yanmega ran it with kingdra aswell....one t16 an another finished 18th seed.

Finally one thing I'd like to see you do is host a j-wittz tournament, or maybe even just a hamachi network ;p

@sdrawkcab190 This is something I most regret. I have the top 16 for Mexico's nationals on that sheet, but I completely missed it while going through my "one take" thing. The two main things I had to say about it were 1) there were a lot of Reshiram (6 in total) and 2) it is another example of Zekrom taking a full tournament. I'll post Mexico's top 16 in an annotation/description soon. Thanks for the feedback!

@TheJWittz The tyranitar/serperior deck did NOT have yanmega primes. I know the exact list of the guy who top 8'd with it as I tested with him. Somehow it got added in on forums after people started counting all the decks with yanmega in them. Normally I wouldn't care but people are super overhyping how Yanmega was in 13/16 decks, when they literally have 0 fact to back it up.

The pokemon it contained were Tyranitar, Serperior, Jirachi, Shaymin, Unown, Tyrogue, and Cleffa. That's it.
