The answer to your question is yes; you'll just end up dishing out a lot of money in order to play just the final mix versions of the KH games. Also note that power jacks may differ, so you should look into electrical outlet differences between America and Japan. I almost bought one but then opted for modding my US PS2 with the Fliptop and the magic swap CD. It was more economical and definitely worth it!

kghuman, kh2FM has the most changes. Being able to fight all of the organization, a secret boss, crown searches, new drives, weapons, areas, cutscenes, etc. CoM is just a remake with new features.

there are good things and one bad thing about this, there extra scenes leading to the next one, new chain of memories, fighting every org member, new weapons, new places and the meeting of one of the armour knights under hollow bastion. the bad thing is that for those who got the secert ending in the original one, would have to do that all over again, but what the hell, its worth it.
