I got an 82 chevy s-10 with a 350 swap in it. I have an '87 Mc ss with a completely rebuilt 400sbc, Rebuilt turbo 400 trans with a Buick Gn 8.5 rearend in the back, its only running a 3.42 gear with full posi & it gets the job done well. I'd recommend the same rearend to anyone looking to replace the weak 7.5. If you're going into the high hp range then go with a fabbed ford 9. Currie makes a good one for all g-body applications. Expensive, but worth every penny.

I wish I had the Chevy rear in my car though. The Olds has a 3.31 rear end gear. Does great on the highway thats for sure. Nice vid and good straight burn out.
