  • See STS-134 post launch news conference for explanation of frost on tank....(BL, it is always there)..

  • amazing we were there HMCS Preserver.

  • i knew its frost on the external tank i know my space shuttle stuff

  • whats that noise at 0:44?

  • What's all that white stuff on the side of the fuel tank?

  • frost

  • NASA knows better than to launch in cold weather!

  • @mungojerry311 it wasn't cold, it was March 22nd. Frost occurs any time of year - the propellants inside are more than negative 200 degrees!

  • @mungojerry311 They should have learned that from STS-51L

  • @mungojerry311 can launch as low as 36 degrees.
