Hi EriiKc, I have been very frustrated transferring the footage I've taken to put into the computer. How does the FIrewire work? should it be Firewire (cam) to Firewire (PC

or Firewire to USB. I was working on it the whole night but couldn't make it work. I had to go for a USB-video capture which is not so dependable due to a very annoying latency of audio versus video.

Back of the camera to the left of the battery is a dial you turn, it will say F5, F4 etc. Turn it until your screen says cine mode.

No worries. On the camera menu, there is a way of changing the screen mode, I actually cant remember without looking myself and im at work at the moment so cant lol, but you want it set to SQUEEZE mode.

look, if it has 3ccd sensors (the sensors that capture the light) then it will be GREAT quality. This thing is intense. HD is just a format, you don't need to have HD to get great quality. The 3 ccd sensors or "chips" are what you need.

I've used this camera a lot, it's great camera but if you have the opportunity to get HVX 200 and can afford it get that instead. SD is already on the outs in pro circles and if you want to future proof yourself it doesn't make sense to get the 100B. It all depends on what your using the camera for and what your buget is.

yeah, got this camera a while ago and the colors on it are brilliant, the picture can look so good, and thats what matters most. put a vid up that i shot on the DVX at sunrise if people can take a look and let me know what they think.

No, not native. But it does do true 24p, and the camera is excellent for the price in any case. I love this cam and have used it at work hundreds of times.

Last I knew, and things might have changed, but this has been an extremely popular camera for independent filmmakers as well as news cameramen on the field. It's not HD, so it depends what you want. It's not an easy camera to learn how to use though.

I use Pinnacle since it was cheap, but it's not that impressive of a program. If I was still going to the TV station, I would have taken lessons on ... ok, I've drawn a blank ... the top of the line that Apple puts out.

How did you get such a clear picture with your DVX100b? Out of the box, my camera records a clear picture, but not nearly as good as this. Does it all have to do with manual focus settings or are you using a special type of lens?

- Eek, gain. See if you can duct tape the little knob to "low".

- Eek, servo zoom. There's a little knob at the front -- set that to manual. The servo is only good if you set the handle button to 2 and use it for a really slow zoom.

- When you white balance, place a blank sheet of paper in front of the camera and...
