Movie Trivia: To simulate the cold arctic air in a hot Hollywood soundstage, the studio had designed small metal boxes with chunks of dry ice inside for the actors to wear in their mouths so when they spoke their lines, vapor would come out.
One of the actors felt that the boxes were too cumbersome and popped a chunk of dry ice directly into his mouth. His tongue was destroyed by frostbite and it had to be surgically removed.
This is amazing. The USS Los Angeles was truly a fantastic ship. Almost as fantastic as her big sister, Graf Zeppelin.
Actual footage of plane-to-airborne aircraft carrier "hook-up" is rare. I wish to see that in person one day. It's likely, considering the US military alone is building 5 completely different next-gen airships and hybrid airships at the moment.
The aircraft was the Vought OU-1, I believe.

@MiHiVidz I always supposed that it was the result of the extra dry martini's they provided at the commissary.
